Today's machinima from Lagspike Films is one you've probably seen before. Released just a few weeks before the launch of Cataclysm, An Inconvenient Expansion brings the climate change discussion to Azeroth in a humorous way. I remember when this machinima was first released, I was suspicious that I might be watching something I would hate. I've found discussing real world issues with WoW players often ends in disaster so I was wary when I saw a character, named Al Boar, correlating the rise in global temperature to the rise in vanity pets. To my pleasant surprise though, the whole machinima never really gets too serious and the script is quite funny. Beyond that, I love the animation in this video. When things really get started I found myself impressed with a lot of little things ... From the way the grounds splits open, to the way Deathwing's silhouette perches atop a mountain. It looks great without a lot of attention being directed toward it. Interested in the wide world of machinima? We have new movies every weekday here on WoW Moviewatch! Have suggestions for machinima we ought to feature? Toss us an email at moviewatch@wowinsider.com.

In our daily quest for acceptable machinima to feature on WoW Moviewatch, it's very rare that we ever come across someone that we feel could end up as epic as Baron Soosdon, otherwise known as Rick Astley, Jr. Apein managed to start his path to greatness from his very first (and only!) video, Animal I Have Become. We haven't been this impressed with an up-and-comer since Lagspikefilm and Gnomechewer!Apein has some big shoes to fill, but he already has a blog, where he posts teaser shots of his work in progress, and knows to upload to Vimeo. We were also impressed that he was able to keep the aspect ratio intact throughout, not get excessive with Model Viewer, blend platforms, and not go super crazy with the effects. However, we do object to the heavy blurring and the random zooms in and out. That wasn't enough to distract us from the beauty of this music video, though.[Via Warcraftmovies.com]If you have any suggestions for WoW Moviewatch, you can mail them to us at machinima AT wowinsider DOT com.Previously on Moviewatch ...

Lagspikefilm is back with another painfully real parody machinima. Last time, he spoofed MTV Cribs, but this time, he's taken on a much tougher topic -- the workplace. World of Workcraft is about a group of dragon slayers that log in to an office simulation game in their spare time.Workcraft serves as proof that not all World of Warcraft videos need to be about PvP, PvE, etc. We hope that there's a sequel in the works, because we couldn't stop laughing at this brilliant video![Thanks, Tumnus!]If you have machinima or movie suggestions from any MMO, please send them to machinima AT massively DOT com, along with any information you might have about them.

When a group of dragon slayers spend all day killing and saving villages, how could they possibly unwind? They log in to World of Workcraft, of course. Whether the assignment is making sales calls, reading reports, or dealing with the epic boss, these guys are prepared, but will the new guy fail them?Lagspikefilm, creator of the hilarious Thrall's Crib parody, has made another film that is both funny and genius at the same time. However, the film has multiple branding from WeGame, is not available on any other site, and Oxhorn voice acted in it. It looks like Oxhorn may not be the only one on the WeGame payroll.[Thanks, Tumnus!]If you have any suggestions for WoW Moviewatch, you can mail them to us at machinima AT wowinsider DOT com.Previously on Moviewatch ...

After yesterday's subliminal debacle, we need some quality time in front of the television. lagspikefilm, previously known for his runaway hit, Crossing Over, has invited us into Thrall's Crib. This parody of MTV Cribs is so inspired by the real deal that I wouldn't be surprised if MTV sought permission to air it, or, alternatively, cease and desist it.We're introduced to Thrall at the front of his pad, where he gives us a tour of his sweet rides, the room where the magic happens, and his unfortunate hair days. Fans of Cribs will notice every cut scene, musical choice, and even the sudden sped up footage. I wonder what a "house" like that costs?[Via Warcraftmovies.com]If you have any suggestions for WoW Moviewatch, you can mail them to us at machinima AT wowinsider DOT com.Previously on Moviewatch ...

Lagspikefilm must watch a lot of MTV. Not only did he parody MTV Cribs in this World of Warcraft machinima, but we're embarassed to admit that he got it down to the letter. Not that we watch MTV or anything. We're too busy playing and reviewing MMOs!There are too many great parts in this video to mention them all, but some highlights from Thrall's Crib include epic mounts, embarassing hair, and the mature manner in which he faces problems. Next time we're ready to upgrade our pad in WoW, we'll be sure to consult this video for ideas. In the meantime, enjoy the tour and the perfect camera work![Via Warcraftmovies.com]If you have machinima or movie suggestions from any MMO, please send them to machinima AT massively DOT com, along with any information you might have about them.

Sometimes you stumble across a nondescript machinima that ends up being really well done. The creator will be a first-timer, but will have picked up on the techniques used by those thoroughly skilled. They might even have video editing skills as part of their real job.I recently came across one such film, Crossing Over. However, those looking for fancy special effects will possibly be disappointed. lagspikefilm spins the tale of an adventurer that finds himself in some unusual places. Will the adventurer ever find his way home? What happened to the problem in the cave at the beginning?[Via Warcraftmovies.com]Previously on Moviewatch ...
