Talk about things you never knew you didn't want! If Mom hadn't much use for a Nintendo DS Lite before, do you think that throwing in some cooking software is gonna change her mind? Neither do we. That said, if you're really stuck for a Mother's Day present (or just want one you can play Nintendogs on), this bad boy hits the shops May 3rd. You are now free to go back to reading Garfield Minus Garfield and counting down the minutes 'til Happy Hour.

Sony might think the DSi is just for kids, but it's never had any problems pumping out candy-colored PSPs -- and the next hue off the line might be lime green, if this image supposedly leaked from inside a Sony factory is any indication. It's, uh, seasonally appropriate, at the very least -- anyone revved up by this?[Via Joystiq]

Lately, Sony has taken a Skittles-esque liking for more PSP colors. Japan just got the new Carnival set and a lilac system is heading to North America soon. And, as it would appear, a lime green PSP is also in the works. According to Chinese website VGSky.com, the lime green PSP-3000 model pictured above was produced in a Sony factory in China. It's currently unknown whether this specific color is being mass-produced or just a prototype. Japan already has 12 different PSP color variants released on the market, and North America will soon have six. Where will this new color go, if it is indeed legit? [Image]

Nintendo of Japan has announced plans to release the DSi console in three cheerful new colors: pink, lime green, and metallic blue. All three will be released on the same day, March 20, and will sell for 19,800 yen ($195), the same price as the currently available black and white DSi systems.Haters of the North American blue version will now be able to direct their ire toward these garish new colors, out of our reach though they may be. Fans of the blue may find themselves envious of these even more vivid colors. We're sorting out some rather complex emotions ourselves.%Gallery-33263%[Via Wii Everyday] Don't worry if you haven't been following the DSi for the last few months -- your crazy friends at Joystiq Nintendo have been all over it. Chicks and dudes, get ready for extremely spicy, delicious, and stimulating news. Remember those new DS Lite colors we mentioned a few days ago? Apparently Nintendo has all but confirmed the forthcoming arrival of cool ice, hot red, and lime green -- at least in Europe. According to DS Fanboy, the big N has started circulating an e-teaser with the new paint jobs, which pretty much puts to rest any chance that this was just some over-eager Photoshopper's weekend art project. The landing date of June 13th seems to be holding as well, but what we really want to know is when we can see some of these provocative color schemes Stateside. Well Nintendo?

The great unasked question, "what would a buttoned-up, business smartphone look like in the same color as this pie I'm eating?" has finally been answered, thanks to the good folks at Motorola. This here Q9c is destined for Alltel and US Cellular, and we have to admit, it's actually pretty attractive. Could we actually see ourselves sliding one in our pocket? Eh, that might be going a bit far, but we think they'll manage to push a few of these suckers off shelves.%Gallery-19594%

Don't you dare say green wasn't already in style, as in all actuality, it's US Cellular and Alltel following the crowd yet again. As the run-up to CTIA 2008 continues, the aforesaid outfits have both announced that a lime green variant of the Motorola Q9c will soon be on their shelves. Aside from that, prospective customers can also snap up the WinMo 6-powered Q9c in licorice, and of course, they'll find a 1.3-megapixel camera, 2.4-inch display and 128MB of onboard memory. As for pricing, you can call Alltel's version your own for $99.99 on contract, and while US Cellular is being mum on the subject, both providers will have 'em available "this summer."[Via CNET] Read - Alltel's announcement Read - US Cellular's announcement

  • Samsung's K3 goes lime green

Although the color pink seems to be stealing all the attention these days, we're definitely down with a bit of green mixed in too. Samsung's K3 has gone from black to red and now to green, but considering the firm announced both of these shades way back at CES, we're just glad to see it following through. Unfortunately for most of the planet, this lime green beauty is slated to hit the Asian market exclusively, but we're sure the importing savvy will find a way to bring it on over if they so desire. The next step in the K3 chronicles? Hopefully an 8GB version landing this summer.
