Samsung press conferences rarely disappoint, and we're hoping that'll be the case today -- the company's big CES 2018 keynote is about to kick off, and we'll be bringing you all the news live. Samsung hasn't made too many pre-CES announcements, aside from a couple laptops, so most of what's coming here should be a surprise. But we know we'll see some massive, beautiful TVs as well as some home appliances that are "smarter" than they have any right to be. But the story will likely be how all of Samsung's devices play well together and make up an ecosystem throughout your home. And who knows, we may even end up with a Galaxy S9 sneak peak. Stay tuned -- the event kicks off at 5PM ET / 2PM PT, and we'll bring you all the news right here.

Of course, that means there will be a bunch of never-before-seen VR experiences, so let's hope there are some good, mind-blowing ones. We'll be liveblogging the event at 1PM PT/4PM ET -- bookmark this page to keep up with the action as it happens.

Day zero of CES 2018 is here, and it's LG who is kicking off the tech hoopla. We'll likely see the company introduce some new OLED TVs and possibly even a smartphone, the "raspberry red" V30. Aside from that, you can expect LG to show off products like its tiny 4K projector and the 65-inch rollable TV, which was revealed a couple days ago. Whatever happens at the event, we're here to bring it to you live, so make sure to tune into this page at 8AM PT/11AM ET.

In 2015, Sony took the unusual step of doing its PlayStation Showcase, featuring some of its biggest upcoming PlayStation 4 games, at Paris Games Week. After a year off, it's back again in Paris, where we're expecting to hear news about Michel Ancel's WiLD, Detroit: Become Human, Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds and possibly a Destiny 2 expansion pack. Less likely, but not completely impossible, would be updates on a new Spider Man game from Insomniac, God of War and Monster Hunter World. There should be a lot of action, so be sure to tune in to our liveblog right here!

Yep, it's that time of year again: It's the first week after Labor Day, which means Apple is about to unveil the latest iPhone. In this case, though, there might well be a twist: Reports suggest that Apple is prepping a high-end model, called the iPhone X, with facial recognition (and no home button!). Rumor also has it that Apple will introduce two other phones (the 8 and 8 Plus, presumably), which we expect will bring more modest updates. If the rumor mill is correct, we might also see an LTE-enabled Apple Watch. We wouldn't be surprised either if we learned more about the HomePod speaker ahead of its winter release. And, of course, we expect news on the software and services powering each of these devices. Engadget senior editor and smartphone reviewer extraordinaire Chris Velazco is attending the keynote today at the Steve Jobs Theater on Apple's newly christened "spaceship campus" -- the first time an event has been held at the company's new headquarters. Chris will be feeding up-close photos into this here liveblog, and then soon after he'll be getting hands-on with the new devices. Stay tuned for all of it, starting with the keynote presentation. That begins today at 10AM PT / 1PM ET.

At this year's E3, Microsoft and Sony have different approaches. As tradition dictates, Xbox got out of the gates first yesterday, but the console (and that "Scorpio" upgrade) had more to prove than PlayStation, which has been leading the market for several years now. So what will Sony's 2017 plans involve? If the past few years are any indication, the company will probably stay focused completely on the games. We reckon we'll hear news about the next Uncharted, hopefully something about that Last Of Us sequel, and an update on how Kratos is faring as a father in the next God Of War. Oh, and PlayStation VR: How's that doing?

Live from Apple's WWDC 2017 keynote!

Let's not play coy: When Apple puts on its annual Worldwide Developers Conference, we can always count on a few sure things. Why even bother asking if we're going to see new features for iOS, macOS, watchOS and tvOS? Of course we are! This is a convention of software programmers, is it not? The annual $64,000 question is always: Will we see some hardware too? It seems this year we might. The rumor mill points to updated MacBook Pros, an Echo-like Siri speaker and a 10.5-inch iPad Pro. Who knows? We wouldn't even be surprised if Apple used the occasion to give a first look at its redesigned Mac Pro, currently slated for a 2018 release. After all, it was at WWDC four ago that we first saw the current model, in all its trash can glory. So, what's in store? Only one way to find out: Bookmark this page, and tune in for our liveblog of Apple's keynote presentation, beginning Monday, June 5th at 10AM Pacific / 1PM Eastern.

We're on the ground in Seattle and waiting for Microsoft's second Build 2017 keynote to kick off. It's a return to home turf for the company (or at least, very close to its Redmond headquarters), after hosting its developer keynote in San Francisco for the past few years. We got a solid overview of the company's broader vision at yesterday's keynote, which includes a deeper push into AI and intelligent cloud computing. But today, we're looking forward to presentations from Microsoft's Windows and devices head, Terry Myerson, as well as Alex Kipman, the brains behind HoloLens. We'll likely hear about upcoming Windows 10 features, more about its plans for Windows 10 S notebooks and more about its VR/AR pursuit. The keynote kicks off today at 8:30AM PT/ 11:30AM ET. Grab some coffee and strap in for our live blog right here. Click here to catch up on the latest news from Microsoft's Build 2017.

    03.29.2017

Samsung's forthcoming Galaxy S8 is one of the worst-kept tech secrets in recent memory -- but we're still interested in what Samsung is going to unveil today all the same. The company pretty much took the year off from Mobile World Congress, where it has traditionally shown off its flagship phone for years now. But now, after a whole host of leaks, Samsung is finally ready to take the wraps off its latest mobile phone -- and a lot is riding on this one. It needs to make consumers forget the Galaxy Note 7 debacle as well as keep up with the best that Apple and Google have to offer. It's a tall order, but based on what we've seen thus far, Samsung may be ready to unveil one of the most interesting smartphones we've seen in years. Stay tuned here for our liveblog of the day's announcements -- Samsung's Unpacked event kicks off at 11AM ET / 8AM PT, and we'll be covering all the news about the Galaxy S8 as well as any other surprises Samsung has in store for us.

We're here in Barcelona, fingers lightly resting against our keyboards in anticipation. We know we're not seeing a flagship phone, but what could that mean? Maybe new tablets, which has always been a strong suit for the company. But nothing's ever guaranteed. Fortunately we're just about to find out, so keep checking back here for our liveblog kickoff at 1pm ET.

Mobile World Congress is where Samsung usually unveils the latest member of the Galaxy S series. Not this year, though. Delays mean that the company's flagship phone will have to make its debut somewhere else. We do know they will be revealing something, however, and as usual there's a glitzy event to go along with it. Catch our liveblog right here at 1pm ET to find out what.

And so it begins. The first big press conference of MWC 2017 is all about BlackBerry, specifically the so-called "Mercury." We were pretty big fans when we first met the QWERTY keyboard-packing phone at CES, a lot of you were too -- hopefully today's press conference sheds a lot more light on what's running inside of it and we can get our hands on one. With any luck, TCL and BlackBerry Mobile will have a few surprises for us, too, but we'll just have to wait and see: the event starts at 7PM here in Barcelona, 1PM Eastern and 10AM on the west coast.
