Instagram first revealed its take on livestreaming back in November and has continued to roll out the feature around the world in early 2017. Today, the social network announced that users can now save that live footage to their phone after the broadcast is over. Yes, the Live Stories will still disappear from the app when you complete the stream, but in the event something worthwhile happens, you now have the option to archive the footage for yourself.

While Snapchat has been courting sports fans and major leagues for some time now, the National Football League will be the first to announce an official, multi-year deal with the social media platform. According to the league's announcement, Snapchat Discover and NFL Media will produce official content and Live Stories for every single game of the season, including the Super Bowl.

NASA hasn't exactly been secretive when it comes to activities aboard the space station, but seeing astronauts living the dream is something else. To celebrate the ISS' 100,000th orbit around our planet since it launched in 1998, the agency has teamed up with Snapchat to show the crew's daily life through Live Stories. Expedition 47 commander Tim Kopra hosted the space-themed series, with short videos showing him eating a tortilla (a favorite among the astronauts, apparently), rolling around in mid-air and talking about their experiments, among other things.

A few days ago, Snapchat updated its terms of use and privacy policy with some broadly-worded clauses that sent the internet into a tailspin. If you read it one way, you'd think that the firm would begin stockpiling your genital selfies, share them with the world and not even delete the pic on request. Of course, the company has now gone into damage-control mode, asking everyone to relax and clarifying that shots of your downstairs region remain your own business -- unless some cheeky individual screenshots something that they shouldn't.

The NFL has deals in place to push content to Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and other places, and now it's heading to Snapchat. The ephemeral messaging app made a one-year deal with the league that will deliver photos and videos to its Live Stories feature. According to Re/code, the agreement runs through the Super Bowl in February and will feature at least one Live Story each weekend. There's also the possibility for more content centered around Monday and Thursday games. In fact, tomorrow night's Denver vs. Kansas City game will be covered by the app.
