Second Life's Tribute Island
The British obituary, death notices, tribute and celebrity deaths website, Lasting Tribute has created an island in Second Life in conjunction with Nick Hewitt of Associated Northcliffe Digital. Outside of the British Services memorial park, Tribute Island more resembles a theme-park of sorts -- more celebratory than somber. There are numerous small displays featuring icons or scenes, or photo opportunities for visitors.
