Luxeed's got a fine history of making the keyboard a fantastical piece of wonder, and its newest offering is not exception. The U5 LED keyboard has pretty much everything one could ask for in a colorful peripheral -- programmable, patterned LEDs which are guaranteed to brighten up your day. It boasts support for Windows, Linux and Mac (previous versions were Windows only), so if it's ever made available outside of Korea, we can guarantee you we'll be getting one for every member of our dance posse. They're available for pre-order in Korea now for KRW 99,000 (about $77 USD). One more mountain-moving shot after the break. [Via Technabob]

For the longest time, Luxeed's eye-tingling keyboards were only available on the other side of the planet. Now, however, the Dynamic Pixel LED Keyboard is finally for sale on US soil. We'll spare you the completely irrelevant Optimus Maximus links -- after all, this thing only allows you to tweak the colors of each individual key -- but those obsessed with lighting up their gaming area without using those boring incandescents will certainly find plenty to love. And yeah, the $199.99 (for the keyboard alone; the number pad attachment is another $34.99) price tag is way closer to "manageable" than that 'board you really want.[Thanks, Zarian]

For those of you feeling the white keyboard motif, the Luxeed pale-colored illuminator should certainly do the trick, and if you're holding tight to your Apple key, there's another option (sans color) just for you, but for those looking for stark contrasts and dark boards, Luxiium's latest Luxeed is what you're after. The sleek, black device sports a detachable number keypad, built-in palm rests, trackball media controller, and of course, the same programmable LED lighting action found in the white rendition, but only lights up the key's marking instead of the entire button. Unfortunately, we're still clueless on pricing or availability, but you can rest assured it'll likely clock in a good bit under the much-anticipated Optimus, and if you're interested in seeing a few closeups of the keyboard lightin' it up, be sure to click on through.[Via AkihabaraNews]

We can't think of a much better way to compliment your disco-inspired mouse than, you guessed it, a psychedelic keyboard. While we've seen our fair share of colored keyboards, Luxeed's latest elevates the game by letting you program each individual key with one of 512 colors, "be it a single hue, a spectrum rainbow," or your own distinct / tacky creation. Reportedly, users can even download color skins / patterns directly from the firm's website, or you can save your own design for future reference, and actual brightness levels can also be adjusted right alone with tone. Moreover, users can make the keys light up and dim based on the beat of the music surrounding it, sure to create quite the dance-floor experience right in your studio. Of course, Luxeed is marketing this as a way to relieve stress via light therapy, but everyone knows this here is best used with all the lights shut out.[Via CNET]
