Is there a more boring month than November? It's like there's nothing worth playing this month at all. After the debacle that was last week, this week is completely bereft of anything even remotely resembling fun in even the most infinitesimal way. Seriously, have you seen what's coming out this week? Just take a look. Gears of War 2 Tom Clancy's EndWar Secret Service: Ultimate Sacrifice James Bond 007: Quantum of Solace Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa Namco Museum Virtual Arcade Legendary History Channel Civil War: Secret Mission See? Nothing. Ah well, maybe we'll finally get something worth playing next week.[Image: sweet mandy kay][Via Joystiq]

It's a peculiar thing when a demo of a children's game winds up on Xbox Live Marketplace. On the one hand, we love demos. Of that there can be no doubt. Whether demos inform us of a game's greatness or its complete ineptitude, we are glad of the service they provide. On the other hand, it's hard to foster much interest in a Madagascar 2 demo, but we shall do our best. Let it be known that the game features "entire madcap Madagascar crew," ten levels, and multiplayer mini-games. Whether or not the game will be worthy even as achievement fodder, well, you'll let us know, won't you?Oh, and the game includes "simulated gambling." We all love that, right?

Right, so we know the inclusion of the demo for Madagascar 2 hardly makes this a dem-o-rama, but we figured as long as we were letting you know that a demo for Brothers In Arms: Hell's Highway is now available on Xbox Live, we'd go ahead and mention Madagascar 2. Just ... you know ... in case.... Oh, OK, fine. We just wanted an excuse to make that photoshop. There, are you happy now? You guys are monsters, we tell you! Activision's recent conference call didn't consist entirely of gloating about those record holiday-quarter sales, as the publisher also took the opportunity to outline some of its plans for 2008. It seems we're in for quite the party, albeit one where you'll actually remember everybody's name. Guitar Hero? James Bond? Tony Hawk? Spider-Man? Yeah, we've met.According to a Variety report, the aforementioned party will see multiple performances by The Instrument Protagonists, due to promote two Guitar Hero "add-ons" in Spring and a full sequel in Fall. While party animals debate the game tie-ins to animated films Kung Fu Panda and Madagascar 2, suave gentleman will attempt to decrypt James Bond's film adaptation, Quantum of Solace. A roughly equal amount of solace will be found by the comic fans huddled around the punch bowl, as new Spider-Man and Marvel Ultimate Alliance games are expected to knock on the door at some point during the festivities. Finally, don't expect Tony Hawk to be turned away (he's on the guest list), especially since he's bringing his friend ... uh ... Call of Duty? We honestly don't know where we're going with this analogy. [Via The Cut Scene]
