After picking up content from TNT and TBS back in March, Verizon has reached additional agreements with Time Warner Inc. to bring Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, and TruTV on-demand channels to its FiOS TV Online service lineup. As per usual, each will offer a free selection of programming from their respective channel as soon as 24 hours after it has aired live, which in the case of Adult Swim shows like The Boondocks, The Venture Bros., Delocated, Childrens Hospital, and Metalocalypse should have already started to happen. Content from the Cartoon Network and TruTV however is currently slated to appear within the next month thanks to the deal. So for now waiting a few weeks to get your Hardcore Pawn fix on FiOS TV Online is both the reality and actuality of the situation folks. Can't stand it? Then bide your time by reading the PR below.

Sad news for fans of the animated series Metalocalypse, as Siliconera reports that Adult Swim "pulled the license" on Metalocalypse: Dethgame. Originally under development at Frozen Codebase, the beat-'em-up was set to appear on Xbox Live and PSN at the tail-end of 2009, courtesy of Konami. So much for that. We've followed up with Konami to confirm, but it looks like Dethgame ain't happening. Now, if you'll excuse us, we have a Hatredcopter to board and a target to attack that has nothing to do with this news. Nope, nothing whatsoever.

Confirming our suspicions of a forthcoming game based on Cartoon Network show Metalocalypse, Konami is this week announcing its intentions to publish Metalocalypse: Dethgame for Xbox Live and PlayStation Network. The show's creator, Brendon Small, confirmed to the Wall Street Journal that he's been working with Konami to produce the upcoming downloadable title from developer Frozen Codebase. Rather than playing as Metalocalypse's lead characters, Small says you'll be controlling a "band of roadies" fighting in honor of the show's fictional band, Dethklok. Konami will allegedly be announcing the game later this week at the San Diego Comic Con.

The world's most famous band, Dethklok, is set to invade the games market, as a recent trademark filing by Cartoon Network suggests. This downloadable title will be called METALOCALYPSE: DETHGAME, and could be as jarring and invasive as something spelled with all capital letters suggests. Oh, and we're sure there will be blood. Lots of blood and guts, because that's metal. The trademark suggests describes DETHGAME as "downloadable video games distributed via the internet," though no other specific information was mentioned. So, we're not sure if this potential game is planned for PC only, or if it will arrive on home consoles. With the creators of the show forming their own game company, we wonder if they'll have a hand in this. [Via superannuation]

DethKlok, the fictional band in Adult Swim's Metalocalypse, have a song in the upcoming Guitar Hero II. The song, "Thunderhorse," will be an unlockable track "along with some other secret music from other bands," according to the official DethKlok MySpace page. That's right, the heaviest band in the world, with the fastest and second fastest guitarists to ever live, have allowed their rock to bleed into gaming consoles. What could the other hidden tracks be: Minus the Bear? (Doubtful.) Tenacious D? (If there's a Dio destined for Rock Heaven.) What do you want to see?Guitar Hero II will rock your socks off starting November 7.[Thanks, Brian]
