Madden 25's special team comprised of all-time greats from the series will be led by Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick. Vick's inclusion in the All-25 team stems from his digital counterpart in Madden NFL 2004, at which point he was the QB for the Atlanta Falcons and cover athlete for the game. Players using Vick in Madden 2004, thanks to his strong arm and blazing speed for a player at his position, were dominant against their friends to the point that it warranted his inclusion in the list. Vick joins a long list of top-tier athletes from the series' history, including Dwight Freeney and Julius Peppers at defensive end, Brian Dawkins and Sean Taylor at safety and Deion Sanders and Champ Bailey as the dream team's cornerbacks. Madden 25 is coming to Xbox 360 and PS3 on August 27, then to Xbox One and PS4 at a later date.

This weekend's NFL Pro Bowl might be one of the more useless spectacles in American sport, but since there's nothing at stake, the NFC coaches allowed Michael Vick to strap a ContourHD 1080p camera to his helmet during practice -- and the resulting few moments of footage are pretty awesome, if you're a football fan. We gave the 1080p a pretty decent review, and it certainly delivers here: you get to watch Vick break the huddle, fire off a pass to Jason Witten, hand off to Adrian Peterson, and run a play-action to Witten, all the while exchanging some friendly banter with Matt Ryan and Drew Brees. It might actually be more interesting than the Pro Bowl itself, actually. Now if only the NFL would let Aaron Rodgers wear one of these during the Packers' inevitable Super Bowl victory, we'd be happy as clams. Update: We hate to remind everyone, but this is a gadget blog, and as such we like to keep the conversation on topic and geared towards that. Since most people can't seem to stay on topic, we're closing threads on this one.

Earlier today, Kotaku reported everyone's favorite animal lover (sarcasm, ahoy!) could make his way into Madden 10 via an update. See, yesterday he signed with the Philadelphia Eagles, cementing his return to the NFL. But, since Madden 10 already shipped, many wondered if he would even be in the game. Enter: Rob Semsey, EA's resident dude to pass all Madden questions to, who told Kotaku that EA was trying to get him into the game and promised "an announcement in the near future." But, see, here at Joystiq, that doesn't cut the mustard, so we grilled Semsey for something more. He had this to say: "Michael Vick will be added to the Philadelphia Eagles roster in the next Madden NFL 10 roster update, pending NFLPA and NFL approvals. The next roster update will go live approximately on August 19th for Xbox 360 and PS3, with additional platforms to follow shortly thereafter." So, yes, he'll even make his way to the Wii game and, in all likelihood, we could all see Vick sporting some green as early as this Wednesday.
