Tomorrow's PSN update will be notable for what it adds to the PlayStation Store, though you may be a little fonder of what it's set to remove: fifty percent from the price of 11 games in an "11 for 2011" sale. Among the discounted games are Double's Fine enchanting Costume Quest for $7.49, hypnotic brick breaker Shatter for $3.99 (its excellent soundtrack is also discounted to $2.99), and Hoard for $7.49 -- a fitting saving for a dragon looking to amass a boast-worthy pile of presents and a roast-worthy mass of peasants. Sony has also included other well-received games like Swords and Soldiers, Tumble and Space Invaders Infinity Gene in the sale (valid in the US, Canada and Mexico through January 31). Have a peek at the full list after the break. Warning: Peggle is in there too.

Clear your Wednesday schedules, our European colleagues -- this week's PSN update's a beefy one. There are new games in the forms of Joe Danger, Shank, PixelJunk Racers 2nd Lap and MotorStorm 3D Rift, a demo for Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 2, and a new persistent beta server for MAG that allows players to test out some new, potentially upcoming features at no cost. Get to it! Choose your platform to view the corresponding release list: (Note: Continue past the break to view both release lists.)

Guns, cars and pressing one's luck is what this week's new PSN titles are all about. Shank, PixelJunk Racers 2nd Lap, Press Your Luck and Motorstorm 3D Rift are all added to the PSN. The audio of these games will involve a log of banging, vrooming and hollering of "BIG MONEY, NO WHAMMIES!" If you're one of what must be millions of PS3 owners who have already dropped three large on a Bravia 3DTV, you've already experienced a small taste of MotorStorm: Pacific Rift in 3D as part of the demo pack Sony gave you. Good news for you: The experience doesn't end there. As part of tomorrow's PlayStation Store update, Sony is making MotorStorm 3D Rift available, a more substantial 3D-ified release of the game featuring 10 courses, each linked to a specific event type. Unfortunately, there's no multiplayer (online or off), but at least it'll run on those old-fashioned 2D televisions, too -- like anyone uses those anymore! The price of admission for this thrill ride: $10. The price of the game running in 3D: 30 frames per second.
