There's got to be someone out there waiting to get their hands on Eidos' Escape from Bug Island-- someone very weird who either doesn't care about the quality of their games or, perhaps, collects awful games. That's cool with us; we can support weirdness. After having to put up with a delay, Bug Island die-hards are getting a small reward in the form of a pre-release price drop. Escape from Bug Island will be priced at $30 when (and if) it finally comes out on the 24th. Europe has to wait until September 14th, but at least the game will be the same price.[European news via GoNintendo]

When we reported awhile back about Spike's Necro-Nesia, we were excited about the launch of the site and the premise the game presented. Seeing it in motion, we're a little more excited for the game now. With the survival-horror themes and different scenarios using the Wiimote in interesting ways, Necro-Nesia could very well be one of the Wii's must-have titles. Obviously, we'll have to see a whole lot more before making that decision, though. In order to access the trailer, you'll need to move the cursor over the cabin, click it, then once inside the Gallery section, you'll want to click on the top right box to access the videos section.

To be honest, we're survival-horror junkies. We loves the tension brought on from games of that variety, so upon catching these two scans with our wide-reaching, ever-electronic internets, we raised our left eyebrow in a totally intrigued way lacking any kind of obnoxious commentary and began to ever-so-softly stroke our chin with interest. We might have even had a corn cob pipe in our mouth. Also, upon further digging through the mess that our internet caught, we discovered that Necro-Nesia also recently opened a teaser site. There isn't much there unless you're able to translate ancient Japanese text, but does keep our interest alive with the promise of a real site launch on the 2nd of October.Anyone care to translate the story and introduction pages for us? We swear we'll love you forever![Via Codename Revolution]

Nintendo of Japan's website offers a list of those purported sixteen launch titles...and they're not all necessarily what you would have expected. Take a look! The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess Wii Sports (including boxing and bowling to round out tennis, golf, and baseball) WarioWare Wii Play Red Steel SD Gundam Revolution Tamagotchi Ennichi no Tastsujin (a drum game, along the lines of Taiko Drum Master) Trauma Center: Second Opinion Elebits Necro-nesia Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz Super Swing Golf Pangya Wing Island (demoed at E3 2006, the "plane game") Kororinpa (a Marble Madness-type game of some sort) Machariku Domino (a domino game) Interesting! It's good to see a rhythm/music game so early, and we'll post details on some of the more mysterious entries as we receive information.
