When I started writing for Joystiq so many eons ago (13 months, but who's counting?), I always looked to Netjak for fair reviews and hot stories. As ex-Joystiquer Steve Parson once said, "in an era where all but the most depressing of games get good reviews, Netjak are becoming a shining beacon of snark in game reviews."It may come as no surprise, then, to know that we shed many a tear (and drank many a beer), when Netjak's post-E3 content slowed to a drizzle, and then stopped altogether. We were lost, confused, bewildered, and had this persistent itch in the middle of our back that we could never reach.Thankfully (and not a moment too soon), Netjak is back up and running just in time to harshly scrutinize herald in two new consoles. According to Clayton "Alkaiser" Chan, "they say infinite monkeys at infinite typewriters would eventually write all the works of Shakespeare given infinite time. Well, apparently it takes a dozen monkeys in a dozen different locations about 4 months to get their game review site back up."Their first piece up is a review of Disgaea 2 -- a title that author Chris "White Rose Duelist" LoBue predicts is "destined to become a classic." Knowing the 'Jak doesn't give such honors carelessly, we're inclined to listen.Netjak contributors Alkaiser, White Rose Duelist, 32_Footsteps, and LaughingTarget are all active commentors on the 'Stiq, and we are glad to see their site up and running. Welcome back.
