You may only pay 60 percent of the price this week, but you'll get the whole piece. One Piece Pirate Warriors, the PSN-exclusive mashup of One Piece characters and Dynasty Warriors gameplay, is $29.99 this week for PlayStation Plus members.The Wonder Boy deals continue as well, with Wonder Boy in Monster World for $1. That's the fourth in the series, if for some reason you have trouble keeping all those Wonder Boy games straight.Other discounts include half off the WWE 13 "Fan Axxess" pass, and the "complete" DLC set for Vita's Super Monkey Ball: Banana Splitz for just 40 cents.
Grand Theft Auto 3 PSN release confirmed for tomorrow
As suspected, Grand Theft Auto 3 is one of this week's PlayStation Network releases. The game first appeared on the Asia PlayStation site last week, scheduled to come to PSN on September 25, and lo, Sony made it so. Sony actually intended to release Rockstar's 2001 classic earlier this year, but hit a delay after a licensing issue with the soundtrack.Mirror's Edge is also doubly confirmed for release tomorrow, after Sony dropped news of its arrival via last week's PlayStation Blogcast. Neither game has a price yet. Also on the way are One Piece: Pirate Warriors, Tokyo Jungle, Marvel vs. Capcom: Origins, Starhawk, Realms of Ancient War, (the brilliantly named) Hell Yeah! Wrath of the Dead Rabbit, Table Ice Hockey (for Vita), Turnabout (PSOne), and Final Fantasy III (for PSP.)If you like your anthologies digital and downloadable, prepare for smiles tomorrow at the prospect of the Infamous and Ratchet and Clank collections becoming available on PSN, because they will. If not so much, why not prepare for smiles anyway?
One Piece: Pirate Warriors and Thundercats out (separately) September 25
We very briefly thought Namco was making a One Piece/Thundercats crossover game, only to realize that the company just announced release dates for two separate games in the same press release for some reason.One Piece: Pirate Warriors, the downloadable PS3 game (which is already an unlikely crossover of sorts, being a One Piece-themed action game in the style of Dynasty Warriors) will be released in North America on September 25.Also coming September 25: the side-scrolling DS Thundercats game based on the new cartoon, which casts the player as Lion-O. One Piece Pirate Warriors sails to North America this year
Namco Bandai is bringing One Piece and Dynasty Warriors together, for a game that we're sure sounded way more exciting when it was announced in Japan. One Piece: Pirate Warriors for PS3 features the world and characters of the One Piece manga/anime, like Monkey D. Luffy, Zoro, and Nami, and the gameplay of Tecmo Koei's Warriors series, like hitting thousands of people.Pirate Warriors is due this year. There's no more specific release date than that, so we don't know how long we have to expand our knowledge of the series -- beyond knowing there's a stretchy-arms guy.
