  • Save the cheerleader later, watch Until Dawn's PSX demo now

When Sony debuted a new Until Dawn sequence at PlayStation Experience, the whole thing took on the surreal feel of a game show. As Supermassive's Pete Samuels walked through the choices in the teen horror game, the crowd yelled out their votes for what he should do next. It was almost like if he didn't hide under the bed, he'd miss out on the golden ticket and the chance to win $100,000 in pet food. As shown by the full, crowd-less gameplay demo below the break, Until Dawn speaks to very familiar horror film tropes. In the video, Hayden Panettiere's character runs around a dark cabin in a towel, while a masked, blood-soaked assailant chases her. She also encounters a deep, distorted voice booming over a speaker, and the odd bit of gruesomeness to unsettle the squeamish. If that sounds NSFW and/or spoiler-y to you, consider yourself warned.

For those who couldn't make it to Las Vegas this weekend and have a few dozen hours free, Sony has compiled footage of every panel hosted at the recent PlayStation Experience event. It's not surprising to see that most of the panels focus on flagship PlayStation franchises, but there's still quite a bit of variety available. Retrospectives on both LittleBigPlanet and God of War are hosted by the series' respective development teams, while this discussion on the future of VR technology in gaming features numerous developers discussing their experiences and plans for Sony's Project Morpheus VR initiative. A full list of all 29 panels available can be found at the PlayStation.blog, and you can find the PlayStation Experience keynote embedded beyond the break. For more from PlayStation Experience, have a look at our full rundown of coverage from the event. [Image: Sony]

The creation tools of LittleBigPlanet 3 are nothing to scoff at, as evidenced by the fact that Sony used the game to create a video showcasing 20 years of PlayStation history during its PlayStation Experience event. This is what 20 years of PlayStation looks like in Sackboy's world. [Image: Sony]

Shuhei Yoshida will be playable in the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita versions of Super Time Force Ultra, Sony announced this weekend as part of their PlayStation Experience event. The President of Worldwide Studios for Sony Computer Entertainment will wield his smartphone as a weapon, shooting out deadly emoticons and laser-beam Twitter messages as he fights robots, dinosaurs and more. You can see him in action via the short teaser above. The Vita version of Super Time Force Ultra was announced alongside a slew of other titles, including classics like Suikoden and several Double Fine adventure games. [Image: Capy Games]

  • Uncharted 4 gameplay trailer includes mini family reunion

With all the time Nathan Drake has put into learning more about supposed ancestors, you would think he'd take more time to acknowledge family members that are actually still alive. The above extended gameplay clip of Uncharted 4: A Thief's End fixes one such oversight, filling in an overlooked, brotherly branch of Nathan's family tree after a bout of the standard "climb, shoot, almost die" Uncharted gameplay. Nathan's brother will be played by Troy Baker (Joel in The Last of Us, Pagan Min in Far Cry 4), with the sibling apparently sharing Nathan's unwavering dedication to sniffing out treasure. We'll be able to follow the brothers (and Sully) through the jungle (and figure out who's seeking revenge) when Uncharted 4: A Thief's End arrives on PS4 in 2015. [Image: Naughty Dog]

The PlayStation Experience keynote helped flesh out the Vita's horizon, but PS4 owners were given plenty to look forward to next year as well. Enter the Gungeon, Orcs Must Die! Unchained, Skytorn, Darkest Dungeon and The Forest are all due to arrive on PS4 within 2015, though Sony's home console won't be the only platform hosting the aforementioned titles. Enter the Gungeon, the game in the above trailer that features a gun capable of killing the past, will also arrive on PC, Mac and Linux. The 5v5 MOBA-style Orcs Must Die! Unchained will fight on PC. Skytorn, a procedurally-generated, combat-focused adventure that unfolds in the skies above a post-apocalyptic world, will launch on PC, Mac and Linux. Darkest Dungeon, an RPG that deals afflictions to a player's party based on their stress levels, will explore the PC and Mac. Finally, The Forest's mutated predators are already stalking prey in an Early Access version on PC. You can find additional PS4-flavored trailers for the rest of the above games after the break.

Development of a new God of War game is underway at Sony's Santa Monica Studio, IGN reports. God of War 2 game director and Santa Monica Creative Director Cory Barlog confirmed the project during a Q&A session at a PlayStation Experience panel, and while details are sparse, Barlog stated that it will not be a prequel. Barlog told IGN that he's looking forward to sharing more on the game over "the next year or two," so it's possible we'll be waiting quite a while before slicing through mythical beasts once more with the Blades of Chaos. We were told that Barlog was working on something "freaking huge" when he returned to Santa Monica last year. We suppose Kratos' temper could match such a description. [Image: Sony]

Drawn to Death is the first project revealed by David Jaffe's new studio, Bartlet Jones Supernatural Detective Agency. The PS4 exclusive is a multiplayer arena shooter that takes place within a high school student's notebook. Players pick a sketched character and drop them into environments drawn upon the book's pages. Each character will have its own behaviors, passive tendencies, buffs and special attacks, though some abilities will never be announced, leaving Drawn to Death's community to uncover them on its own.

An upscaled version of Final Fantasy 7 is coming to the PlayStation 4 in spring of 2015, Square Enix announced as part of the PlayStation Experience keynote. While this is good news for Final Fantasy and PlayStation fans, it's not the oft-rumored, infamous full remake of FF7 that many have clamored for. Instead, it is the currently-available PC version, ported to the PS4. [Image: Square Enix]

You can get a glimpse of Fat Princess Adventures' cooperative brawls in the above trailer and also find trailers for Wattam and What Remains of Edith Finch after the break.

Double Fine's Broken Age will launch on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita on the same "day and date" that the second half of Broken Age's PC version launches, studio founder Tim Schafer announced during the PlayStation Experience keynote. Additionally, Double Fine will be bringing its classic adventure game, Day of the Tentacle, to PS4 and Vita at some unannounced point in the future. There's no additional information on Day of the Tentacle: Special Edition just yet, but we imagine that's secondary to the excitement all the '90s kids in the audience feel right now. If you're in the mindset for something a little more modern, Double Fine will also be bringing Gang Beasts to PlayStation 4. Similar to games like Surgeon Simulator, Gang Beasts is a purposefully-difficult-to-control brawler that recently rose to prominence thanks to popular YouTube celebrities. If you want to see it in action, we've got a trailer after the break.
