Comixology adds DC Comics to its unlimited plan
Comixology added Marvel to its $6-per-month Unlimited plan in 2017, but DC has so far been absent from its all-you-can-read subscription. That's about to change, io9 reports, as DC Comics will now be available on the service. Thousands of comics from DC and Vertigo, including single issues, full collections and graphic novels, will soon be accessible on the Unlimited plan as well as through Kindle Unlimited. Curated collections of DC and Vertigo graphic novels will also hit Prime Reading on a rotating basis.
Amazon offers UK Prime members a free, rotating e-book library
While Amazon offers a variety of Prime perks for Britons, it can often take a while for some of them to make it across the Atlantic. Take, for example, Prime Reading: a "free" book subscription that launched in the US last October but is only now coming to the UK. Unlike Kindle Unlimited -- which offers unrestricted access to over a million books, magazines and audiobooks for £8 a month -- Prime Reading is bundled with Amazon's annual subscription and delivers a rotating selection of popular e-books, magazines and short content.
Amazon's latest Prime perk is free books and magazines
While members of the Amazon Prime club get all kinds of benefits with their subscription, bookworms don't receive a great deal of special treatment. Sure, they can borrow one e-book for free each month and access new novels early, but the all-you-can-read Kindle Unlimited service requires a separate, $10 per month subscription of its own. That isn't changing today, but Amazon has just announced something of a light version of Unlimited called Prime Reading, which is now available to Prime subscribers in the US.
