The remake of Resident Evil 3 will be out in just a few weeks, but Capcom wanted to give eager gamers the chance to play Resident Evil Resistance -- a multiplayer game that comes with Resident Evil 3 -- a bit early. The publisher had planned on opening a public beta today on Steam, PS4 and Xbox One, but only the latter has launched on time, as the company announced that technical issues have caused delays for the Steam and PS4 versions. Capcom didn't mention what exactly those problems are, or how long it expects the delay to last. Only 14 days remain until the retail launch of both titles, so hopefully the beta will be available shortly -- otherwise the sneak peek would be rather pointless.

The remake of 1999's Resident Evil 3 will be out in a matter of weeks, but there are plenty of survival horror fans who don't want to wait that long. A demo for the game will give gamers a taste of Jill Valentine's escape from Raccoon City on Thursday, March 19th. The remake uses the same engine as Resident Evil 7: Biohazard and the Resident Evil 2 remake, meaning there are no more frustrating tank-style controls. Instead, a more fluid, over-the-shoulder control scheme and camera setup will let players better experience one of the most well-received games in Capcom's iconic series.

It didn't take long for Capcom to offer a closer look at its Resident Evil 3: Nemesis remake. The developer has posted a trailer that explores the main characters of the survival horror title, most notably its namesake Nemesis. Even moreso than in the original version, Nemesis comes across as a nigh-on unstoppable freight train -- he's determined to hunt down "stars" like Jill Valentine, and he'll break through anything to get to them. You also get better looks at how Jill and her unexpected ally Carlos deal with the sheer chaos Umbrella's zombie infection has wrought upon the city.

Sorry, UK, Chronicles HD will cost you an extra quid, at £10.99.The latest entry in the series, Resident Evil 6, is €24.99 (£19.99). Finally, a bundle that includes all of this is available for €69.99 (£59.99). No word on whether PlayStation Plus members will see additional discounts on these items, though we've contacted Sony for clarification.Remember: the sale doesn't start until tomorrow, after the PlayStation Store update. Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City assumes a lot about the player. It takes for granted that you already know the fiction going into the affair, that you already know about its character classes and that you already have people in mind for your squad. It thinks you know about the special abilities and unlockables of each class, and how to access that content, right from the start. Those who missed out on Resident Evil 2 and 3 may not appreciate the small bits of fanservice developer Slant 6 Games has tossed in, but that's minor compared to how much context is missing elsewhere.%Gallery-138014%

  • Capcom reveals list of PSP and PS1 games coming to PSN

Capcom is making good on its promise to release a ridiculous amount of PSP and PS1 titles on the PSN and has announced, via the PS Blog, the next batch of games that will be available to (re)purchase. Resident Evil fans won't be disappointed with the rest of the PS1 franchise entries making their way to the PSN, alongside Dino Crisis. PSP fans will also get their hands on seven titles, including two Mega Man games, two Capcom Classics collections, Darkstalkers and Power Stone Collection. It's a pretty good bunch of games and you can see the full list after the break. Other than Capcom Classics Remixed, which releases in America this week, none of the other games have been dated for any territory, nor even confirmed for European release. We've contacted Capcom Europe to ask, but release dates for the US will be revealed on the PlayStation Blog over time.
