G4 apparently has the "hot word," which we're assuming means "unfounded rumor", that Activision is looking to toss another peripheral into the Guitar Hero World Tour mix. They're reporting that Neversoft's Brian Bright spilled the beans, stating that he "wouldn't go into detail about what it will be," but that it's "specifically for the game's Studio mode." Hm, interesting ...Our cruel overlords at Joystiq have contacted Activision for clarification on the whole issue. Popular opinion seems to be that it's a keyboard of some type, but we'd like to think the game will feature something a bit more old school, like the guy in the image above. We're just weird like that.%Gallery-23491%[Via Joystiq]

For most of us, Band Brothers DX is just one of many unattainable titles in the Japanese market. We want to play it and love the crap out of it, but our inability to understand the Japanese squigglies keeps us from realizing just how great the game is. Thanks to Spencer at Siliconera, we can keep up with the most beloved content for the title. You can see the top 100 downloads yourself right here. It's not going to mean much to a majority of you, but if you're looking for the top downloads of this week, then peep this: Shuchi Shin (Shuchi Shin) Gake no Ue no Ponyo (Miyazaki movie theme?) Seth Sternberger is responsible for the awesome video above, which brings back memories of Big, for some odd reason. It's just pure awesome. The specifics of how he completed this are a tad bit of a mystery, but Seth has some musical chops. Not only did he complete this, but he's also part of the chiptune outfit 8 Bit Weapon. We salute you Seth! Keep up the good work.[Via Engadget] Each week, our Friday Video segment takes a look at the gaming landscape online and brings forth an interesting video that (hopefully) gets the dialog started. Other cool hacks featured have included the GameCube clock and a Nunchuk-controlled camera.
