Video: iClooly stand gets extra cleepy, iPhone 3G / iPod touch support
It sure took awhile, but the iClooly aluminum stand has finally been updated to fit your second generation iPod touch or iPhone 3G. Set for release on February 18th, the pivoting and rotating stand still costs ¥4,980 in Japan or $47, um, $54 Stateside. While the rising Yen could account for the delay, there's no way we could possibly explain the motivation for producing the iClooly video posted after the break.[Via Impress]

Rockridge Sound's iSR-01 "luxury" iPod alarm clock
Surprise your guests when you tell them this gem isn't from a thrift store and that it actually plays an iPod, not cassettes. Rockridge Sound busts out yet another iPod clock / dock option, this time with 2.1-channel audio, alarm clock function, and AM / FM tuner. Although the specs aren't exactly eye-popping, it seems Rockridge is pushing the iSR-01's "luxurious" wood finish and quasi-analog hark-back design -- after all, the product page screams "MODERN & LUXURY" in huge all-caps letters. This gigantor unit supports third, fourth, and fifth gen iPods, minis, first and second gen nanos, is powered by an AC adapter or 2 AAA batteries, and they've included a remote in case you need to control functions while admiring all that luxury from afar. There's no mention of cost, but for some reason, we're banking on a heavy price tag. [Via Akihabara News]
Rockridge Sound's VTS-384 tube amp and speaker dock for iPod
Check it vacuum tube buffs, Rockridge Sound has a new iPod speaker dock boasting a trio of vacuum tubes per stereo channel. As a result the VTS-384 delivers "full analog" sound out a pair of 2x2W (8ohm) speakers. The kit ships with a remote for controlling the iPod, wire protectors for those precious tubes, and RCA and USB jacks for sourcing non-iPod music or connecting USB speakers. Now, we're not so delusional as to consider ourselves audiophiles, but any benefit achieved by that single-ended triode vs. digital amp will likely be nullified by its compressed audio, iPod source, dontchathink? Still, sometimes it's not how the gear sounds, it's all about the looks. But for an expected MSRP of between ¥70-80,000 (about $604-$777) when these hit in February, you might rightly wonder if she's really all that.[Via Impress]
