A 7'10" (2.38 meter) tall "Brotherhood of Steel" statue is currently on auction at the Sam's Club site. The bidding for the 121 lbs. (54.9 kilo) monster will end on Nov. 11 at 6:30PM Pacific, or on Judgment Day, whichever comes first.Best of luck to the bidders, and don't forget to check your respective shipping charges (that's where the hidden costs are). Having this in the front yard would surely beat your neighbor's garden gnome.Update: The statue now comes with free shipping. Go nuts![Via Check Out]

The Wal-Mart/Sam's Club exclusive "Dragon" controller we'd previously mentioned is now available on Walmart.com (and we understand making its way to stores), at a lower price than the previously indicated $60. The wireless controller (pictured above) comes with a black headset for $50 at Wal-Mart and $46.58 at Sam's Club. Not a bad deal when the standard Xbox 360 wireless controller's MSRP is $50 and the white headset is $20, although we do see Amazon and Walmart selling the wireless controller for $37. Pricing aside, we really want to know how a disembodied eye and a candlestick phone made it into this design.[Via X3F]

Microsoft looks to be attacking the casual-core this holiday with its bundle strategy and Sam's Club has found itself in the middle of the fight. Sam's Club is offering an exclusive bundle that includes a 60GB Pro console, LEGO Indiana Jones, Kung Fu Panda and the full version of Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock for $349.99. That's right the entire game and guitar included with the standard Xbox 360 Pro bundle currently on store shelves. Sporting the largest packaging a console has ever seen this Xbox 360 bundle is a fantastic value -- sporting an additional $50 asking price on top of the regular $299 price-tag. On the streets we call this a deal. Now, to Sam's Club![via Kotaku]

If you're looking to get an Xbox 360 this holiday and aren't concerned about having the latest M-rated games, Sam's Club (Wal-Mart's warehouse retail chain) has a big ol' bundle available soon. Members will be able to purchase a 60GB Xbox 360, Lego Indiana Jones, Kung Fu Panda and Guitar Hero III (with wireless guitar) for $350. We contacted the company to double check that it wasn't a typo and, sure enough, we were told it was accurate. The bundle should start arriving in November-- there's no specific date for it being in stores, so call ahead. While we're talking Sam's Club, we've also been told all Guitar Hero III bundle prices have been reduced (we've placed details after the break). We were also informed that the store, along with Wal-Mart, will have a limited edition "dragon" controller (no picture currently available), bundled with a black headset, for $60. We'll keep an eye out for other deals as we approach the holidays.Update: Adjusted text for Lego Indy and Kung Fu Panda being offered with the standard system.

Sony's PlayStation Blog announced today that PSN cards will be available at more national retailers beginning in October. The cards will soon be available in $20 and $50 denominations at Wal-Mart, Best Buy and "select Sam's Club outlets." The cards will assist in destroying GPAs when they become available in November at Barnes & Noble College Bookstores.Sony had previously announced that PSN cards are currently available at Blockbuster, AAFES and a few regional retailers. Yup, still no GameStop.[Photo credit: Flickr ffg]

  • Sony's XEL-1 OLED TV spotted at Sam's Club for $1,748

You can order up Sony's XEL-1 OLED TV from SonyStyle.com right now for $2,499.99 and hope that it ships by tomorrow. Or, you can waltz on down to your local Sam's Club, plunk down for a membership and walk out with the previously mentioned set for just $1,748.51. We can't say for sure if these units are available at Clubs nationwide just yet, but that's a comparatively delicious price for those in the market for an ultra-small, ultrathin OLED TV. Anyone care to guess how cheap this thing will be on Black Friday?[Thanks, Vishal]

  • Sam's Club taunts shopper with Wii

What's the worst thing that could ever happen to you? Okay, scratch that, try not to think about that. What's the worst thing involving video games that could ever happen to you? Well, our worst fear has been realized, thanks to a Sam's Club employee. You see, Sam's Club shopper Shawn recently found himself inside one of the huge warehouses, shopping for that 82-pack of tube socks we assume, when he stumbled upon a Wii, sitting there for sale. What happened when he tried to buy it? Well, he was denied his console, because it was being set aside for a "Grand Re-Opening" for the store. Horrible, right? We think so.Seriously, we would've been screaming at the store manager. But, in the end, it's not like it would've mattered. We would have fought to give the jerk retailer money, so maybe losing that sale was a good thing. Not for Shawn, though. Sorry, buddy.See also: Best Buy purposely holding their stock?

  • Did you give the gift of a hacked account this Christmas?

var digg_url = 'http://digg.com/pc_games/Did_you_get_the_gift_of_a_hacked_account_this_holiday'; Do you even know? Many digital photo frames sold at Best Buy, Target, Costco and Sam's Club have a particularly insidious trojan embedded in them - one designed to thieve your account information for a variety of online games. One of the primo geek gifts of 2007, variations of these devices were bundled with darn near everything gadgety during the holidays. Some percentage of these contain a professionally written and very stealthy little gremlin that Computer Associates has dubbed Mocmex that is apparently capable of robustly concealing itself from many detection engines. This isn't an amateur-night special, by all reports. This is professional nastiness, with multiple variants.

  • Insignia photo frame virus much nastier than originally thought

Ugh, we were already sick of digital photo frames -- and now it looks those now-discontinued virus-ridden Insignia units from Best Buy and several other models produced in China were carrying a much nastier trojan that we'd originally heard. According to an analyst form Computer Associates, the trojan, called Mocmex, is able to block more than 100 types of security and anti-virus software from killing it, and bypasses the Windows firewall to download files from remote locations, spreading them randomly over your hard drive and any portable storage device you plug into your PC -- like, for example, a digital photo frame. The trojan is apparently set to only steal gaming passwords at present, but CA says it's capable of stealing nearly any information on your machine, and thinks it might be a test for a much worse virus yet to come. Infected frames have come from Sam's Club, Target and Costco, in addition to Best Buy, so we'd say to avoid picking one up until this mess gets sorted out -- or, you know, forever.

  • $104 wireless racing wheel spotted

While out and about this weekend our fanboy eyes were programmed to find two things: delicious looking food and great gaming deals. Both were found (the teriyaki chicken was superb) as we spotted the recently discounted Xbox 360 wireless racing wheel for the rock bottom price of $104.24 at Sam's Club. It looked as if they were clearancing out the racing wheel similar to how they are treating the 360's HD DVD player. So, if you're in the market for a cheap racing wheel, give old Sam a visit as the prices vary from store to store. Or you could always pay a little more and get it online for a reasonable $119.82. Happy bargain hunting.
