var digg_url = 'http://www.digg.com/nintendo/Everyone_has_a_price_even_Santa'; Even Santa has mouths to feed. So, he's offering up his unique services, along with 2007's most-desired item, the Nintendo Wii, to the highest bidder. We guess milk and cookies just aren't enough for old Saint Nick anymore. Via an eBay listing, the fat man has agreed to personally arrive at the household, completely in uniform, and hand deliver the console to the lucky recipient anywhere in the continental United States, making their Christmas one "he/she will never forget." The auction has a ridiculous Buy It Now price of $9,995, but bids are starting at $3,995. Of course, we don't have to tell you how ridiculous this whole thing is, as we're laughing thinking that someone would actually shell out the money for this.[Thanks, Derek!; via GameRush]

The DS Life is a weekly feature in which we scour the known world for narrative images of Nintendo's handhelds and handheld gamers. If you have a photo and a story to match it with, send both to thedslife at dsfanboy dot com.As every successful endeavor requires an unexceptionable sequel, we've created just that with this installment of The DS Life! We're revisiting last week's theme of "Dear Santa" notes, promising a production packed with more laughs, more special effects, and most importantly, more letters. We actually can't guarantee those first two points, but we're almost absolutely sure we'll deliver on that third one!To streamline the gift-wishing process, the kindergarteners at Buckeye Valley North Elementary were provided with crayons and a simple form to illustrate their hearts' desires. What follows are a few of the results from the school's "Dear Santa" project.

Aren't Japanese commercials the best? This new 15 second spot from SCEI features a helpless Santa Claus, burdened by the weight of such heavy gifts. Thankfully, his reindeer's there to suggest the brand new red PSP-2000 system for the holidays. That cheered Santa up! In fact, if one of our readers donated a red system to us, we wouldn't mind ...

The DS Life is a weekly feature in which we scour the known world for narrative images of Nintendo's handhelds and handheld gamers. If you have a photo and a story to match it with, send both to thedslife at dsfanboy dot com.Watching too much television ruined the surprise and magic of St. Nick for me. Though I'm not sure which exact program it was that unbagged the Christmas cat, it's kind of hard for a pragmatic kid to not figure out the great conspiracy on his or her own, given enough time to think about the inconsistencies. That didn't stop me from writing my wishlist to Santa every year, though, as I was still too young to break the fashionable habit. But since I knew the letters would always find their way to my mother's hands no matter what North Pole address I scribbled on the envelope, I only asked for trivial things, G.I. Joe figures and NES games, instead of the impossibilities I prayed for every night, the pitiful petitions that served no good to ask out loud -- a girlfriend to hold hands with at school, a father who'd come back home to us after years of estrangement, or a home that wasn't a cramped apartment in dirty, dilapidated downtown Detroit. So, that was my "Dear Santa" experience. If you need something to lift you up out of the depressive state I've put you in, read on for a much more cheerful (and adorable) letter.

For those of you who, like us, are now done unwrapping the gifts and tallying up the final scores, we'd like to know what Wii gifts have been bestowed upon you. Did you unwrap a Wii, or perhaps got yourself a few games? Did you instead get that extra Wiimote and nunchuk you'd been searching for? Let us know in the comments! What did we get? Well, plenty of clothes (growing up sucks) and some gift cards. With about $150 in cards to various retail outlets, we plan on getting ourselves some gaming goodies.

  • Santa vs. Sith in Star Wars

Santa is a jedi knight, which explains how he makes it through the chimneys ... he just force pushes himself through. By following these easy steps you'll be able to play as jolly St. Nick in LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy. Step 1: At the Mos Eisley Cantina, enter the following two codes: CL4U5H (for Santa hat and red clothes) and TYH319 (for white beard Extra) Step 2: Go to the Character Customizer and create the proper costume. Use a human head, the appropriate red clothing ... and don't forget the red cap! Santa can wield the weapon of your choice -- we recommend the green or red lightsaber to seasonally complement his shiny red duds. (Remember, the color of his lightsaber decides whether his Force powers are naughty or nice.) Step 3: In the Extras menu, activate Disguise 3. Step 4: Enter the character-based level of your choice in Free Play. A cute little thing for the holiday season. Now it's time for Santa Miis, Santa Sims and whatever else you creative people out there can come up with. Tis the season.

[Update 1: Our apologies; we had simply assumed the service was free. Thanks to our trusty commenters, we found a better one! For free! WiiSearcher.com!]All right, well, maybe not us. We're too busy having way too much fun slamming our parents into the ground in Wii Tennis (except for Nikki, of course). The internet is a vast place, however, and the local denizens are sure to help you find your way if you ask nicely enough.Welcome to NintendoFinder.com WiiSearcher.com, a wonderful place that uses voodoo and sorcery to immediately discern availability of the Wii at pretty much every retailer ever. As soon as a store restocks, torrents of E-mail are sent to any and all subscribers to the system, letting them know to get their click on. It's a great tool for those of you worried about getting a system before Christmas, and we recommend you tell your parents (nudge nudge) to check it out. You know. So they can let Santa know, too.(Santa is a universally understood figure used for the purposes of a substandard joke. Please, no religious quarreling.)[Thanks, Matt, for shamelessly plugging your own site! ^^]

  • DS fanboy admits that PSP has a better holiday lineup

I'm loving every single moment of Elite Beat Agents on DS, but once Final Fantasy III and Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin come out, what else will DS owners have to look forward to this holiday season? Not much, according to the self-proclaimed DS fanboy at BC Gaming. "Both systems have major releases for this holiday, but the PSP has a quantity this time around ... You see, I am not a fan of hardware, but of software. Furthermore, it is crystal clear that Sony has brought a royal flush to the table, while Nintendo is left holding only a high pair."Ken Edwards points to games like Killzone, GTA, SOCOM, Lumines, E3, Gitaroo Man, Sonic and Metal Gear Solid as reasons why the PSP's holiday lineup is so much better this year. Regardless, he admits that this won't help Sony in the end: "Unfortunately, this is not going to mean a lot for Sony, as the install base of PSP systems is nowhere near that of the DS - quite sad, yet very true."
