Looking for some great video game deals? Well, look no further than Circuit City and the Sunday newspaper ads. This week, Circuit City is slashing $20 off select games including titles like TMNT ($29.99), GRAW 2 ($39.99), Spider-Man 3 ($39.99) and Call of Duty 3 ($39.99). Also, since both the Red and Black Edition Player Packs will be free downloads, why not pick up Rainbow Six Vegas for the low, low price of $39.99 too? You can't pass that up. Maybe new releases are more up your alley, then we advise picking up a free $10 gift card with a Transformers: The Game purchase. And if you're in the market for Shadowrun, purchase it for $37.99 on Windows Vista and Circuit City will throw in a wireless receiver for free! All deals are available online or in-store, so save a few bucks and pick up some new games to add to your video game library this week.

From now on the weekly PS3 release lists are going to include worldwide games. Why would that interest you, you ask? It may be easy to forget, but your shiny black behemoth is capable of playing games from any region. That means every (both) game(s) in the following list is (are) a potential purchase. Here're the releases for the coming week:US Games MLB '07 The Show EU Games Spider-man 3 Spider-man 3: Collector's Edition (exclusive to GAME) Asian Games None released this week How about that, eh? A couple of new games out. Keep this up and we might end up with one of those 'software library' things I've heard so much about. Release dates are subject to change, so be sure to call your local retailer and check, just in case. If you pick up either of these new releases, let use know what you think of them.

  • Spider-Man 3 is most popular on the 360

In the UK Spider-Man's console of choice is the Xbox 360. Activision's mediocre Spider-Man 3 swung its way to a multiplatform release including the 360, PS3, Wii, and PS2 among others. And when the UK sales figures were tallied the Xbox 360 version of the game accounted for a whopping 45% of total sales. The PS2 version (which looks just as good as the 360 version ... ouch) garnered 40% of the game's UK sales with the Wii totaling 10%.What's most interesting is how well the Xbox 360 version of the game sold even outselling the huge install base the PS2 has. Even more interesting is that the PS3 numbers for Spider-Man 3 sales are pretty much non-existent. Either the 360's community is the prime demographic for the Spider-Man franchise or it could be the largest next-gen console install base, we can't be sure. But we do know that Spider-Man 3 is one huge marketing machine with a box office to prove it.[Thanks, Jon Morales]

In honor of Spider-Man 3 hitting game retailers and theatres near you this past weekend, DecalGirl has come out with a line of "Webslinger" skins for your electronic devices, most notably, the Xbox 360 console, controller, and HD DVD player accessory. All in all they look pretty solid, and the pricing isn't terrible, as you can choose how much of your console you want to skin. Hopefully they'll come with a Venom themed variation of the skin, as that would be pretty badass. You open to skinning your 360 Spidey style?[Via Siliconera]

It's a fun week in the Rodeo, the sort of week driven by slow news and few releases, the sort of week that forces hosts to dig deep, let go of the magic feather and try to find the entertainment power that was inside them all along. The Hotspot: A story of tragedy, triumph and boredom on the Hotspot as a caller tells about working in an arcade while Billy Mitchell was trying to break the Pac-Man record. Long story short: A kid unplugs the machine, tragedy and hilarity ensue.

Though it's been years in the making, this Friday, the brand synergy that began with adopting the Spider-Man font for the PlayStation 3 will reach its inevitable -- and glorious -- conclusion: Spider-Man 3 comes out in theaters, and every video game system known to man (except PSP, they've got to wait), including ... the PlayStation 3. So, there it is above, replete with identical 3s, the Spider-Man 3 Collector's Edition for PS3. Oh, did we mention that the PS3 is the only console getting a "Collector's Edition" with the ability to play as the New Goblin with Sixaxis controls? Can't you feel the synergy? The rest of the week's new games are after the break ... %Gallery-2871%

  • No Spider-Man 3 for you!

Games based on movies tend to launch on every system imaginable. So, why is poor PSP not receiving its own version of Spider-Man 3 this week? Every other console is getting its own version, from PS3 to GBA. Considering how many games appear cross-platform, it should be easy enough to port the PS2 or Wii version to PSP.Unfortunately, PSP owners wanting some portable Spidey action will have to wait until later this year. Gamestop has a release date set for November--in time for its DVD release?[Via Gamespot]

Similar to the previous games based on the film franchise, Spider-Man 3 will have actors from the movie adding their voices to the game.Joining Tobey "Spidey" Maguire are James Franco (New Goblin, not pictured), Topher Grace (Venom), Thomas Haden Church (Sandman) and J.K. Simmons (J. Jonah Jameson). B-movie idol Bruce Campbell, who has a cameo in all the movies, will reprise his role as the narrator of the game, as he has done for the two previous titles. The report from Reuters indicates that the Spider-Man 3 game -- coming to Wii, Xbox 360, PS3, PS2, PC, GBA, DS, and PSP -- will swing into store shelves before the film's debut May 4.[Via Kikizo]

  • Spider-Man 3 catches Achievements, akin to flies

The sleuths over at Xbox 360 Achievements uncovered the Achievement list for May's Spider-Man 3. Looking over the list, it seems to cover all the free-roaming and mission based aspects of the game, similar to Crackdown, but in an SM context. A cool thing we're seeing for the first time is a secret achievement that is simply listed as one in the details that isn't actually "hidden". Our guess is that it has to do with the symbiote costume and/or your actions with it. So, we leave you with three queries. First, are you looking forward to going through the trick races and completing all the side quests for some Gamerscore goodness. Second, why does the gamer in question not have the "Master Web Swinger" Achievement if he's got the preceding and following ones? Finally, does the tendency for Spider-Man films and movies releasing in May have anything to do with the title character's Aunt?

The media hounds over at GameTrailers have uncovered a new trailer for Spider-Man 3 (available in HD here). The video shows off a massive city and some very detailed characters. The trailer gives us glimpses of all the villains in the movie, including the Sandman and the new Goblin. Venom, one of the best villains evar, is in there too, but you'll have to keep your eyes open to spot him. All in all the game is looking pretty sharp, and as long as it plays as well as Spider-Man 2, we'll be first in line to check it out. Having watched the new trailer, who's ready for some new gen webslinging?

  • Video: Spider-Man 3 expands into underground

Gametrailers has a new video for Spider-Man 3, showcasing the subterranean element of the game's enviroments. Not only does Spider-Man 3 have a realistic representation of Manhattan above the streets, but also has included the subway and sewer system below. While we find it easy to believe that the subway system is true to life, we don't know if the sewer system got the same treatment, or if it is open to artistic license for the sake of gameplay. Because seriously, who'd want to confirm that their sewers are accurate, right? In any case, the added depth to the environment is definitely promising. The video is also available in Standard and High Definition WMVs if it suits your fancy. Did you enjoy Spider-Man 2 last generation, and are you looking forward to Spider-Man 3?[Thanks, DjDATZ]

There hasn't really been much info on any version of Spiderman 3 other than the next-gen ones. That's all changed now because IGN has an interview with Vicarious Visions (the developer of the PSP version). Here is what the PSP version will offer:
