While we're not going to reveal the big spoiler in the latest patch here in this column, I think it's fair to say everyone's aware... there was one. Something big just happened in WoW, answering the biggest Azerothian "Will they or won't they?" since Ross and Rachel. (The orcs. Did you miss that quest?) In our role as helpful video game journalists, a few of your intrepid WoW Insider staffers made our best guess about what the next big shock would be. Read on to see what we thing... and leave your own guess for the Next Big Spoiler in the comments!

A barrage of Halo 4 media and pre-launch information has led a few fans to uncover more about the story than 343 Industries may have intended. The following information may be considered a spoiler; it names the supposed main antagonist and contains a snippet of the motion-capture script revealing a potentially pivotal scene with him, Master Chief and Cortana, as collected by NeoGAF:

  • Is HP showing the Slate 8 in its latest commercial? (video)

HP has acknowledged that it's been working on a Windows 8 tablet; it just hasn't mentioned whether or not the rumored Slate 8 is part of its plans. Imagine our surprise, then, when we're told that HP's 60-second "Make It Matter" commercial ends with an unannounced yet familiar-looking tablet right at the 56-second mark. There's only a fleeting glimpse, but it shows a metallic-looking body with a large black antenna window -- the combination of which would fit in with the Slate 8's purported aesthetics. We've asked HP whether or not this is a clever teaser for a real product or just as conceptual as the rest of the ad, and we'll let you know if we hear back on the subject. In the meantime, you can inspect the video evidence for yourself after the break. [Thanks, Brian]

  • Chevy builds antenna into body of 2011 Camaro convertible, includes free bumpers for all (video)

We know all about the great woes that can befall a company when it tries to integrate an antenna into the body of its product, so we couldn't resist covering Chevrolet's latest attempt to do the same -- but on a larger scale. Early versions of the 2011 drop-top Camaro found themselves rolling out and about with a rather unsightly appendage hanging off the rear, a big whip antenna that was a little too genuinely retro to go with the machine's throwback styling cues. On hardtop Camaros the antenna is integrated into the rear windshield but, given the disappearing nature of this car's roof, that wasn't possible here. For help GM turned to two dedicated Antenna Engineers, Don Hibbard and Gregg Kittinger, who managed to find a way to bury the unsightly thing inside the svelte spoiler perched on the rear deck lid. Problem solved -- well, except that XM and OnStar require a separate shark fin that can sadly still be seen hanging out on the trunk. Maybe the 2012 model will be totally fresh and clean.

We have Sylvanas news, and it's big and very much a spoiler. Want to know what the Forsaken Queen is up to in Cataclysm, and why this expansion is going to rock the Horde and the Alliance even moreso? Again, we are warning you: there are spoilers here that are quite huge in the world of lore. The big part of the spoiler is in red. After the break.

  • Drama Mamas: A moment of silence, please

Dodge the drama and become that player everyone wants in their group with the Drama Mamas. Lisa Poisso and Robin Torres are real-life mamas and experienced WoW players -- and just as we don't want our precious babies to be the ones kicking and wailing on the floor of checkout lane next to the candy, neither do we want you to become known as That Guy on your server. We're taking your questions at DramaMamas (at) WoW (dot) com. Been devouring all the articles at WoW.com designed to help you dig into this week's new content patch? Obviously, we have too -- but not everyone feels that way. There are quite a few players out there who'd like nothing more than to work their own way through the new content in a little peace and quiet. Dear Drama Mamas: I've been really enjoying the new content that came out a few days ago, now that instances are actually available to run. But I've encountered a problem that has bothered me ever since WoW started releasing patches. One of my favorite things about WoW is the story and the discovery of an unfolding plot. This new expansion has great story elements, from the raid to the new five-mans. Having been a member of my guild from patch 1.5 or so, I've been through thick and thin with the group. I am a regular guy with a standard job and normal demands of a social life. So perhaps I can't play quite as much as some others, which leads me to hit content hours to days later than some of my guildmates. Just like watching a movie, I enjoy watching the plot develop and discovering my own strategies to boss fights. But I seem to not be able to convey this to guildmates, and any attempts to insulate myself from unsolicited advice and "helpful guildmates" is met with confusion and astonishment. I have very clearly stated how I like to enjoy new content and have asked for people to respect my wishes. I certainly understand I can't prevent giddiness in guild chat or chatting over Vent.

  • WoW Moviewatch: Ashbringer : The Return of Tirion Fordring

Have care! This movie has spoilers. Today's Moviewatch is also the featured movie for WarcraftMovies. It is Ashbringer : The Return of Tirion Fordring by Atraira. I didn't want to feature the same movie on the same day, but with the coming release of Wrath, the subject matter is pretty timely. This movie recreates the end of the Death Knight quest chain in video format. I really liked the story, voice acting, and lore. I watched the video once, enjoyed it, and then listened to the dialogue again while not watching the video. The script is very strong, and the dialogue fits the ambience of Wrath of the Lich King incredibly well. The camera work, though, didn't do a lot for me. I enjoyed the visuals, and there's only so much Atraira could have done recording scripted in game events. But they still felt a little static to me. We could have used some more dynamic shots, or maybe clever use of shooting angles to mimic the emotion we were hearing from the actors. Atraira admitted frustration while recording the events, and I definitely have sympathy for that. • Bionic Commando Rearmed's divergent finale

    07.29.2008

***Spoiler Alert -- Final Warning*** The original Bionic Commando ended with a battle against The Albatross warship and then Master-D. IGN tells us that Rearmed's ending is going to be a little different. The Albatross is now its own level, and apparently the longest level in the game, with challenging rooms that will require shutting down a security system to battle Master-D. Don't worry BC fans, we've been told before the original ending is still "historically accurate." Bionic Commando Rearmed will be available on August 13 -- be sure to check out videos of the new Albatross level after the break. %Gallery-14181%

  • Cryptic Studios is hiring ... for Star Trek Online!

    07.26.2008

There's still a little over 24 hours left on the countdown clock located at Cryptic Studios' official website. Unfortunately, staffing needs seems to have ruined the surprise a bit. WarCry noticed an advertisement in the fall Game Career Guide e-newsletter (pdf) for Cryptic hiring - that specifically mentions Star Trek Online! All that wondering for naught, regrettably. There's still time left to wonder what the studio will unveil on the morrow, of course. Judging by past comments from Jack Emmert, it's safe to say we'll see something more like a AAA title than the casual game STO might have been. Read on below the cut for the full advertisement, and make sure you let us know what you think about this. Does Cryptic have the chops to make two titles at once - one of them a hot potato licensed game?

A Kotaku tipster seems to have stumbled upon a casting call for "a character for a new game in the Portal series from Valve Software" on subscribers-only actors resource Breakdown Express. The posting is loaded with character details for the game's "principal antagonist," including his history, demeanor and general outlook on life. The posting even details how the character's psychology changes as the story progresses, hinting at some intriguing story possibilities for the sequel to our top game of 2007.If you don't mind having such important details spoiled at least seven months before the game is released, follow the read link and, er, read all about it. Or, if you're a voice actor who can handle "dark comedy ... with occasional dramatic moments" starting next month, why not try out for a piece of video game immortality?

    06.09.2008

We realize that this post is going to conflict a lot of our readers. On the one hand, there's a large segment of our audience that grabs on to anything related to the console wars like a starving dog grabbing on to red meat. On the other hand, there's another group of readers that have devoted their lives in the past weeks to an extreme avoidance of anything that might even resemble a spoiler for the highly anticipated Metal Gear Solid 4.Readers at the intersection of these two groups are going to have to think long and hard about watching the below video, which includes a particularly clever dig at Sony's competition but also potentially spoils an inconsequential scene in MGS4 (rest assured, there are absolutely no story details revealed in the clip). This is a tough, intensely personal decision, and we wouldn't presume to judge you either way. Just look into your heart and ask yourself what feels right. The answer will come.[Via PS3 Fanboy. If there's one thing we learned reading through some of the comments on our mega-spoiler Smash Bros. Brawl post, it's that there are a lot of people who want Mega Man to join in the Smash Bros. series. If there's a second thing we learned, it's that people are very interested in learning the secretive "Final Smash" attacks for each of the revealed characters.Well, we can't help with Mega Man, but thanks to the kindly folks over at GameVideos, we can help with that second problem. The epic eight-minute video below shows off every Final Smash move in sequence. Not all Final Smashes are created equal, though, so we've decided to rank them on a ten point scale based on destructive potential, how well they fit the character and all-around coolness. Don't agree with us? Take it to the comments, Jabroni.Warning: Major spoilers contained below the break.

Everyone feels differently about video game spoilers. Some people love them and find that they only leave more to look forward to in a game, while others would prefer not to look but can't resist the vice. Then, there are also people who avoid spoilers at any cost, even for games they have no intention of ever playing.Where do you fall on the spectrum? Perhaps you can tolerate gameplay spoilers, as long as there's no storyline involved? Or maybe any spoiler at all completely ruins a game for you?Let us know, but out of consideration to everyone, please refrain from actually posting any spoilers in your comments.

It was bound to happen, but some videos from the end of NiGHTS: Journey into Dreams have found their way onto the internets. The quality of these videos is very poor, but since you can sort of make out what's going on despite the talking in the background, these videos should definitely be considered spoilers. From what we could tell, they don't show the very end of the game (although, since we haven't played it, we could be wrong), but just events near the end.Anyway, there are SPOILER VIDEOS after the break, consider yourselves warned!

    11.01.2007

A spoiler about Super Mario Galaxy invaded the internet recently. We can promise you, though, that it isn't any of these: If you press the + and - buttons after exactly four hours of gameplay, you unlock the soundtrack from Tron. Mario is only controllable in the first chapter. The rest of the game stars a rookie named "Raiden." Defeating Bowser with an arse dive will make Miyamoto come to your house and tend to your garden. If you play every day, Dr. Kawashima gets jealous and murders Mario, leading to an immediate "game over" with no continues. Completing the game in under 10 minutes will let you unlock a secret chapter called "Mario: The College Years." Now, onto the real thing. Keep in mind, this unlockable was found in the Super Mario Galaxy Official Strategy Guide, so if you ordered one of those, be careful. Some of you will find this to be a big spoiler, and others may not. It's up to you to decide if you want to continue reading!SERIOUSLY DON'T READ ANY FURTHER IF YOU'RE SENSITIVE ABOUT SPOILERS!!!We clear, then? Good.
