Japan's Sun Connection is back with this, their SC-VP200SD personal media player. However, unlike their previous N-Gage rip, this player also packs a 1.3 megapixel camera capable of shooting stills and MPEG-4 video at 320 x 240 pixels and 30fps. The device packs a 2.4-inch, 480 x 320 TFT LCD and 128MB on-board memory with SD expansion to carry your audio and video files. Built-in mono speaker, mic, AV-out and 3.5-mm mini-jack round out the specs. All this, and USB 1.1... why? Find out today when they launch in Japan for ¥12,800 or about $109. [Via Impress]

There was a time when the display-less mp3 player was an item of ridicule and scorn. But with the second-gen iPod shuffle becoming Apple's number one seller, well, let's just say that the industry has taken notice. Starting today, the Japanese can pick up the ¥2,980 (about $25) MUSIC+SC-MP512MWP from Sun Connection. Available in three colors, this MP3/WMA player packs 512MB of flash, a waterproof case, and just a hint of "BM" smeared along the bottom. What more could you ask for?[Via Impress]

  • Sunconnection kicks out handheld PMP / do-it-all, smells like N-Gage

We've seen a fair amount of N-Gage-esque devices hit the international front, and shoving more and more functionality into gizmos we Americans will probably never touch is becoming quite the fad, but Sunconnection's SC-VP128SD combines the short-lived goodness of Nokia's handheld with Japan's (apparent) all-in-one mentality. The device sports an orange or black color scheme, 128MB of storage, an SD slot, USB 2.0 connectivity, AV in / out (NTSC / PAL compatible), built-in equalizer, a 2.5-inch LCD, voice recorder, and a "digital video camera" that can purportedly snap stills or record full motion video to your SD card. Additionally, it plays nice with MP3 / WMA on the audio front, while playing back ASF video files as well, and weighs in at just 90-grams. Although we've certainly seen sexier multi-tasking handhelds hit the market, there's not much to complain about here for just $84 -- except for its absence in the US, of course.[Via Akihabara News]

Japanese manufacturer Sun Connection has emerged from years of painstaking research and design, today announcing its Music+ MP3 player. Unlike some other totally different digital audio players, the Music+ relies on SD/MMC cards for storage (topping out at 2GB) and also seemingly only plays back music according to the file name order. The unit itself measures about an inch and a half square and weighs less than an ounce, with its battery promising some eight hours of continuous playback. Sun Connection's also managed to keep the price low enough, just 2,980 Yen ($25 US) -- of course that also means you'll have to supply your own SD card.[Via AV Watch]
