Vainglory, "the MOBA perfect for touch," will be launching on the Apple app store in North America on Tuesday, November 18th. "Once the game is live worldwide, you can look forward to future updates with more heroes, more player-requested features, and other fun stuff," the team promised. If you want to give this free-to-play title a try, you're going to need an iPad 2 or better or an iPhone 5 or better. Vainglory is already out in other parts of the world and boasts a top-notch gaming experience for mobile devices. It was first mentioned during Apple's September press conference and was developed by former Blizzard, Riot, and Supercell developers.

Thought you were safe from the MOBA craze just because you prefer to game on mobile devices? Think again: developer Super Evil Megacorp is bringing their MOBA, Vainglory, to iOS devices this month. Vainglory simplifies the typical MOBA formula by reducing team size to three (instead of the more common five) and limiting matches to 20 minutes long (not unlike the Crytek MOBA Arena of Fate). There's also only one lane to push against, and the game's controls are based around the touchscreen interface. For more information, there's a basic overview video after the break. Those living in Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand can already download the game for free, while Europe will gain access on November 13. The North America, South America, Middle East and Africa App Stores will get their versions on November 18. China, Japan and Korea have no announced release date. No matter where you live, you'll need an iPad 2 or later or, if you're playing on your phone, an iPhone 5S or later. Vainglory is Super Evil Megacorp's first game, the studio itself being comprised of ex-Riot Games, ex-Blizzard and ex-Rockstar developers.

The MOBA arena is crowded, but the number of MOBAs you can play on your tablet is slightly more limited. Super Evil Megacorp, a new studio founded by veterans of Riot Games and Rockstar, is aiming to expand that number with its upcoming title Vainglory. Billed as the ultimate tablet MOBA, the preview trailer released today shows off a handful of the game's characters, environments, and attacks. Vainglory is currently in limited release, with more information to come as it nears its full release on the iOS app store. The developers are also stressing that the game will deliver a full-featured experience for players despite being on tablets. So if you've got an iPad and just can't get enough arena combat, check out the trailer just past the break.
