Wax your handlebar mustache, dust off your favorite pair of spats and try to ignore the rise of fascism in Europe, as Speakeasy will soon transport your PlayStation 4 to the sepia-toned 1920s for some good, old-fashioned fisticuffs. Though it relies on the basic aesthetics of a fighting game, Speakeasy won't require players learn complex shoryuken maneuvers. Instead, the game is something like rock paper scissors. It only takes one punch to end a round, but players are only given access to one punch, one block and one fake. Choose your action wisely and your opponent will catch a fist to the jaw, but choose poorly and you'll take a beating the likes of which hasn't been seen since Calvin Coolidge humiliated Robert La Folette in the 1924 presidential election. You can imagine the sort of tense mind games that result from this limited move set, especially when playing Speakeasy in tournament mode alongside up to 15 of your friends. Publisher Gun Media and developer Super Soul have yet to reveal a release date or price point for Speakeasy, though the PlayStation.blog claims the game will reach the PlayStation 4 "soon."
