Is it an MMO? Is it a MOBA? Or is it something else entirely? Those are the questions swirling around the news that Runewaker is working on a third title, following Dragon's Prophet and Runes of Magic. Whatever the case may be, Runewaker will be revealing the game next week to the public. After that, this new title will be playable at the Taipei Game Show. The studio did release a couple of pieces of concept art that show two fantasy forces squaring off against each other. There might be a touch of sci-fi in this as well, as the art shows giant robots (golems?) and neat-looking rifles.

While regaling Chinese Final Fantasy fans with tales of upcoming downloadable content headed to Final Fantasy XIII-2 during the Taipei Game Show, Square Enix producer Shinji Hashimoto also took time to answer fan questions about various FF projects. One such question directed at Hashimoto wondered if the upcoming PlayStation 3 and Vita re-rerelease of Final Fantasy X would be a "remake" (like the recent re-release of Halo: Combat Evolved) or a "remaster" (like last fall's Ico/Shadow of the Colossus collection).Hashimoto left little space for interpretation of his answer, directly stating it is a "remaster." He also pointed out that "the screen is much prettier than the original," though we're unable to corroborate that just yet as the game hasn't even been mentioned since its announcement last fall at Tokyo Game Show 2011, let alone shown. We've followed up with Square's US reps to see when we might hear more about the upcoming Vita and PS3 remaster, but aren't holding our breath for new info.[Image credit: GNN.Gamer.tw]

The 2007 Taipei Game Show wrapped up yesterday, sending home an estimated 100,000 attendees. From the few who've uploaded their prized memories onto Flickr, we gather that gaming was a peripheral attraction -- save for a stray UMD sighting. Guess the booth babe lineup is a tradition both TGS events share in common...

Tweak Town, while attending the Taipei Game Show in Taiwan, came across a Black Xbox 360. Of the pictures shown, there was no sign of any HDMI port, although it could be hidden by the AV adapter. So this is one of two things, either it's the "Xephyr" Xbox 360, and we can expect to see it sometime this spring, or it's a black dev kit. Whichever the case, the images do spark an interesting conversation about Microsoft eventually updating the 360's specs to compete with the PS3. We'll let you be the judge with the pictures after the break.
