Some of Facebook's mobile app efforts fare better than others, and that's clearer than ever right now. The social network has announced that it's shutting down teen polling app tbh, caller ID tool Hello and fitness tracker Moves based on "low usage." It's scrubbing user data for all three within 90 days, but the apps will likely stop working before that. Facebook will deprecate Moves and its programming kit on July 31st, while Hello is facing a similar fate in "a few weeks."

Facebook is trying to get its users talk more about themselves in between all their link shares, photos and videos. Its newest feature for web and mobile called "Did You Know" asks you random questions to tease out info you might never willingly tell anyone yourself. You'll find the new section when you visit your profile page, waiting for you to answer a few fun (perhaps silly) questions like who your favorite superhero is, your favorite sport, hidden talent, what day of the week you'd rather be and what your absolute dream job is (Friday and astronaut, of course.)

In another bid to establish a deeper connection with young'uns who might just see Facebook as a way to communicate with grandma, the social network has snapped up "tbh." It's an app targeting American teens that focuses on positive interactions with friends online. Facebook likely took notice, because the application (according to the company's post about the acquisition) has been downloaded by over 5 million people over the past few weeks. It currently has 2.5 million daily users despite only being available in select states.

Team Black Hat's got a trick or two up its (we assume) matching black sleeve and it smells like Gingerbread 2.3.3 to us. Released via the hacking outfit's eponymous non-Android market app, this unofficial upgrade ups your Droid Charge's ante -- literally, as the app costs $2.99. Available in both carrier-bloat and non-bloated varieties, custom ROM-flashing addicts can now take this leak for a spin, and always downgrade via P3Droid's handy tweeted directions. Cost-conscious Charge owners shouldn't feel sidelined since the generous blokes behind TBH intend on distributing this gratis... in the next 48 hours. If waiting's not your game and you need this now, be sure to check the source for a black-market whiff of what Android's been serving.
