The PlayStation Experience keynote helped flesh out the Vita's horizon, but PS4 owners were given plenty to look forward to next year as well. Enter the Gungeon, Orcs Must Die! Unchained, Skytorn, Darkest Dungeon and The Forest are all due to arrive on PS4 within 2015, though Sony's home console won't be the only platform hosting the aforementioned titles. Enter the Gungeon, the game in the above trailer that features a gun capable of killing the past, will also arrive on PC, Mac and Linux. The 5v5 MOBA-style Orcs Must Die! Unchained will fight on PC. Skytorn, a procedurally-generated, combat-focused adventure that unfolds in the skies above a post-apocalyptic world, will launch on PC, Mac and Linux. Darkest Dungeon, an RPG that deals afflictions to a player's party based on their stress levels, will explore the PC and Mac. Finally, The Forest's mutated predators are already stalking prey in an Early Access version on PC. You can find additional PS4-flavored trailers for the rest of the above games after the break.

The Forest is about the scavenging that comes with surviving in the woods, but it's also about avoiding a band of cannibals that would very much like to scavenge the meat from your bones. The open-world survival horror game finally has a Steam Early Access release date of May 22. and while there's no news on a final release, the $15 alpha will hopefully make for a decent starter. Ben Falcone, the lead of four-man indie dev Endnight Games, says The Forest is inspired by films like The Descent and Cannibal Holocaust, while gaming inspirations lie in Trespasser and Minecraft. The idea in The Forest is to explore the world around you and scavenge materials to build up your base and weaponry, then defend your base from the cannibals at night - or take the fight to the enemy, if you're feeling brave. In terms of the nitty-gritty, the game runs on Unity 4 and Oculus Rift is supported, and while it'll be single-player only on initial release, there are plans to add "some form of co-op" further down the line. Last week, we got our first taste of The Forest, an upcoming first-person survival-horror game for PC and Oculus Rift, set in a mysterious forest where players must scavenge supplies, build and prepare to defend against a nocturnal indigenous society of cannibals. If you read that last sentence aloud in one dizzying breath, then you have a good idea how excited we are for The Forest. But here's the thing: there isn't much information out there. So we contacted developer Ben Falcone for a tour of The Forest.%Gallery-188147%

The Forest is a first-person horror game currently in development for the PC and Oculus Rift. After surviving a plane crash at the outset of the game, players must build and thrive in a mysterious forest, scavenging materials throughout the day and defending against an indigenous enemy by night. Developer Ben Falcone promises changing weather and tides that shift with the day/night cycle. Players will have to chop down trees to build and make fires, scavenge food or plant seeds to grow, while traps will be necessary to maintain a safe perimeter and defend the home. On the game's about page, the nocturnal ne'er-do-wells are described as "a clan of genetic mutant enemies that have beliefs, families and morals." The Forest is tentatively scheduled to launch in late 2013, and is now vying for a spot on Steam Greenlight.
