Death knights are inherently kind of creepy. And even with the revamp in Cataclysm, the Eastern Plaguelands are still pretty creepy as well, along with the death knight starting area on the eastern coast. Put that together with a little bit of Lorde and you've got Yellow Flicker Beat, a machinima music video from Time-Lost Productions. Time-Lost Productions has been doing these kinds of music videos for years, and it shows -- the production quality is good, the cuts are sharp, and the only minor critique I can make is that really I think the video would have stood on its own without the text that was added for emphasis. It totally didn't need it! If you liked the video, be sure to check out Time-Lost Productions' Youtube channel for more. Interested in the wide world of machinima? If you're looking for something a bit on the emo side to kick off your weekend, then this machinima music video may do the trick. A collaboration between Nan the Mistweaver and Time-Lost Productions, this video doesn't have a very clearly defined storyline, but instead lets the music set tone and pace. And since Awolnation's Sail, which backs the video, isn't exactly a cheerful tune, there's a very angsty vibe to the video. (How angsty? It adds extra rain to Gilneas, which probably tells you all you need to know.) But any fan of machinima will appreciate how well put together this video is, picking settings and scenes from WoW that fit perfectly with the theme. Interested in the wide world of machinima? Seven Devils from Youtube user Time-Lost Productions tells a fairly simple tale -- a city is destroyed, and the lone survivor returns to survey the damage, complete with flashbacks to the city's destruction. While the in-game footage used in the films isn't the best from a graphics quality standpoint, the narrative of this particular music video is strong. And in a strange way, the rough graphics work for the video, going along with the gritty theme of the story itself. The soundtrack, a suitably haunting piece from Florence and the Machine, also ties into the darker narrative, and the overall effect is a suitably haunting, grim piece. I'm a fan of the plaguelands in general, so the spooky, haunting tone really worked for me. Interested in the wide world of machinima? We have new movies every weekday here on WoW Moviewatch!
