Star Wars: The Old Republic has had a bit of a rocky time with some post-launch hiccups, and it's at that point in time when players begin to start picking on the game's flaws. Despite, or perhaps because of, this turbulence, one of the game's lead designers, Gabe Amatangelo, sat down with John Bain -- better known as Total Biscuit -- for an interview. Throughout the course of the interview, the pair cover issues ranging from the obvious (what is BioWare doing to address faction imbalance?) to the more abstract (would BioWare ever consider causing skills to act differently in PvP than in PvE?), and Amatangelo has some rather interesting answers. Bain mentions the game's bracketless PvP and asks if the studio might consider further bracketing. Amatangelo replies that BioWare "would not go to further bracketing without opening up the pools of players, and I guess you can infer what you will from that," making a rather overt reference to cross-server PvP. For all this and more, listen to the full interview after the cut.

Yesterday, I issued the call for artistic PvP videos. TotalBiscuit then reminded me that I had yet to feature one of his favorite machinimas, Wings for Hector. Dating back over two years, Wings certainly isn't the most current movie out there, but it was highly favored in its time.Hector and Eulogie, the creators of Wings for Hector, mixed Rogue PvP with cut-scenes and a rockin' soundtrack to bring the audience heart-pumping action. Coming in at just under 12 minutes, this video isn't for the faint of heart, or those prone to seizures. The aspect ratio jumps around quite a bit, but so do the flashing images. Viewers be warned that there are mild subliminal elements, but hopefully that won't stop you from enjoying this trip down memory lane ...[Via Warcraftmovies.com & TotalBiscuit of WoW Radio!]If you have any suggestions for WoW Moviewatch, you can mail them to us at machinima AT wowinsider DOT com.Previously on Moviewatch ...

TotalBiscuit felt that yesterday's Moviewatch, Standing in the Way of Control, was "pretentious, all style no substance, and ugly as sin." However, I think he has Gnomechewer all wrong. This machinimator is clearly an experimenter of different ways to create his art. Call me biased, but I simply can't hate on someone that has a WoW character named "Coreyhaim", and did a spoof of a scene from Teen Witch.Super Duper Ultimate Edition Extreme is just another example of his experimental style. He wanted to add a bunch of cool scenes together to form a mishmash of awesome. Set to a soundtrack by Notorious B.I.G., he has the Horde invading Westfall, dwarven pilots, rallying troops, and the Alliance singing songs of inspiration. With a portfolio as versatile as Gnomechewer's, I can't wait to see what he comes up with next!If you have any suggestions for WoW Moviewatch, you can mail them to us at machinima AT wowinsider DOT com.Previously on Moviewatch ...
