A recent episode of the PlayStation Blogcast announced that Trapt will make its way to PlayStation 3 as a PS2 Classic. Despite Trapt's absence of clever space battle tactics, it does involve plotting the deaths of enemies by ensnaring them in traps. In Trapt, Princess Allura is framed as the murderer of her father, King Olaf, and is then accused by her stepmother Catalina. Not keen on awaiting her trial, Allura escapes to a forest and progresses through stages by eliminating enemies with traps on the walls, floors and ceilings of rooms. Money earned from outwitting enemies can be spent on new traps or keys to access locked portions of stages. Trapt also has multiple endings, leaving the fate of the game's cast up to the player to influence. A price for Trapt was not suggested, but that doesn't have to stop you from practicing making traps out of household items! [Image: PlayStation Store]

The good news is that Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock DLC continues, thanks to enthusiasm from fans. The bad news is that the DLC schedule's life has been extended just long enough to enable the release of Trapt's "Headstrong." Perhaps the series is better off dead ... Okay, that's not fair to the eight songs in today's "Mega Pack" that aren't "Headstrong" -- or to the fact that for DLC that we didn't think would exist a couple of weeks ago, a nine-song pack is pretty generous. Check out the full lineup after the break.

Microsoft and Xbox Live's Music Showcase program is producing some new exclusive video content next week. It's a music video debut from non other than alternative metal band Trapt. On Tuesday, June 10th at 11:00PM eastern, Trapt will utilize the awesomeness that is the Xbox Live Marketplace to debut the music video for "Who's Going Home With You Tonight?" off their Only Through The Pain album that's set to release on August 5th. We presume the video will be a free download (this is a promotion after all, right?), but don't come back here and yell at us if they charge for it. Trapt. XBLM. Music. Good.
