As I sat and watched the news pour in about World of Warcraft's fifth expansion, I was of two minds. On the one hand, when you start diving into the past, it's often a sign that the present is less interesting. On the other hand, this is a time that has been alluded to but never explored, and this trailer is not forgetting draenei. On the third hand, there's some interesting stuff here even without a time skip. On the fourth hand, where did all of these extra hands come from? The point is that I'm not sure if I'm excited about Warlords of Draenor yet. Maybe you're a bit more clear-headed than I am, ladies and gentlemen of the audience. Are you excited for this new expansion? Were you sitting in your chair looking forward to another chapter for World of Warcraft? Or are you ready to declare it a failure from just the title alone? Every morning, the Massively bloggers probe the minds of their readers with deep, thought-provoking questions about that most serious of topics: massively online gaming. We crave your opinions, so grab your caffeinated beverage of choice and chime in on today's Daily Grind!

Alganon has come a long way since its launch, with the conversion to free-to-play and several updates helping to improve the game's feel and engine immensely. Now it's time for the game to move on to its next big step of development -- its first expansion. Yes, that's right, the game is expanding with Rise of the Ourobani, introducing a new race and class to the game along with several other new features. The eponymous Ourobani are a race in service to a god long thought lost, with the Asharr and Kujix both attempting to seize the Ourobani's power for their own ends. Players will also get access to the game's first pet class in the form of the Warden. In addition, the game is promising both player and guild housing, flying mounts, and a new continent called Aeon, on which players can enjoy a whole new leveling experience. If your opinion of Alganon hasn't been updated since the game's original development, it might be a good time to start looking at the game with new eyes -- there's a lot on the expansion plate, especially for a free-to-play game.

There's a certain seasonal familiarity to EverQuest expansions, with the game continuing to launch new ones at a steady pace through its twelve-year run. House of Thule, set for release in October, is now available for pre-orders as well as for ordering via digital download. And has become the tradition, not only does it include the newest expansion but all of the prior expansions to the game, making it an excellent purchase to catch up with everything. Aside from a level cap increase, House of Thule is set to include player housing and 13 new zones (one of which will presumably be some sort of dwelling or domicile). The pre-order for the standard game includes a live topiary mount and a 16-slot bag, while the collector's edition also includes a dead topiary mount and a 20-slot bag. EverQuest players are also encouraged to watch the trailer just after the cut, showing off some of the more visually impressive elements of the coming expansion.

The countdown to Aika's first expansion is growing shorter and shorter, so it's only fitting that we're getting more information coming about the upcoming changes to the game. We've heard about Darkrane Forest, but not about the adjacent region, Ashwood. That forest contains something very special in the game's PvP-centric equation: a fourth temple to be fought over for control, guarded by the vicious Kynari under Darkrane's command. Considering that struggles over the three current temples form the basis for the nation wars, the addition of a fourth should be quite a change in the strategic face of the game. We've also gotten a preview of the next evolution of the Dual Gunner and Rifleman classes, dubbed the Pistoleer and the Sniper respectively. Snipers will gain the new Predator ability, allowing them to return to stealth after attacking to help them plan new ambushes and avoid counterattacks. Pistoleers, on the other hand, will gain the new Bloody Rose skill that allows them to turn all of their pistol attacks into splash-damage area abilities -- just the thing for being surrounded by enemies. Check out the new armor and some images of the new temple area in our gallery below, and get ready for Aika's first expansion on June 17th! %Gallery-94238%
