  • Mofone iPhone case puts old school grip on a new school dialer

I remember back when the iPhone was so new that you had to build your own retro handset for it, even before little companies started making their own products. But the retro handset trend has fully moved into the mainstream at this point, with the Mofone case now being sold at none other than Urban Outfitters. Yes, the Mofone obviously fits right around your iPhone 4 or 4S, and though it doesn't actually do anything electronically, it essentially creates a grip for your iPhone that will have you feeling like you're back at home in the 80s, ringing up your friends after school to talk for hours on the phone. At $45 a pop, these are a little pricey to just buy for yourself, I think, but if there's a friend or loved one with an iPhone who might appreciate a little extra handle on it, this might be a nice holiday gift. Just make sure you don't slam it down after you're done talking -- that glass could crack. [via iPhone Savior]

  • Google Catalogs iPad app digitizes catalogs, no more coasters

We all know what catalogs are good for: starting fires in the fireplace, light reading in waiting rooms and makeshift placemats. Oddly, Google has decided to take these perfectly useful glossy dead trees away from us with the introduction of Google Catalogs, a free iPad app. Like most shopping apps, users can zoom in, learn more and purchase products through a company's website, but this one adds a slick little twist: collages. Put together a particularly sweet L.L. Bean ensemble and want to share it with Mom? No glue stick or scissors required. Check out the video after the break.

  • Last Polaroid cameras and film to be sold at Urban Outfitters tomorrow

We've had a hole in our hearts ever since the original Polaroid company stopped manufacturing instant film, filed for Chapter 11, and sold off its brand name, but it looks like those crazy kids at The Impossible Project are making some small moves to turn things around after picking up the pieces last year: they'll be selling the remaining stock of cameras and film at Urban Outfitters starting tomorrow. Sadly, that's not much, as there are only 700 hand-numbered kits containing a deadstock Polaroid ONE600 Classic camera and a pack of Type 779 film available, but at least there's more film to go around if you already have a camera -- additional 779 packs will also be on sale until stock runs out. We're not sure if this plan will raise enough cash to start the factory up again -- or if anyone else even cares about Polaroid anymore -- but you know where we'll be standing in line tomorrow morning. Quickly hipsters, look this way! We know you're staring down your credit card this very moment to see if you can manage to be rocking 3rd gen iPod nano on the L train by next week, but were you aware that a company named "Microsoft" makes a product with similar music-playing capabilities? Sure, it won't work with your Mac, but the Zune makes up for all that by rocking this new look torn straight from the pages of NYLON magazine. But you'll have to act fast, because they're only selling 1000 of these custom Zunes at Urban Outfitter stores. The first ones will be at NYLON's Fashion Week party on September 6th in Soho, and the rest will be available later this month across the country.Read - NYLON official siteRead - "Making of" video
