The Wable series is picking up steam. (That's WoW cable, get it?) In the fifth episode, we visit Planet Azeroth to discover the most popular class in the game. They do manage to get a hunter loot joke in there; it's been a while since we've seen a good hunter loot joke. There's an odd outhouse reference in the next sketch and we even get to see some Diablo cuts. These videos have some of the best animation we see lately, and the humor's definitely going to a new level with each episode. It's more than worth your time to check out. Running gnomes aside, of course. Rumor has it they're moving on to live action films next. It'll be interesting see what the future brings. Interested in the wide world of machinima? Work warning: A bit of cursing and such, but nothing you've not seen before if you spend any time on the official forums. The 4th episode of Wable has been released by Hybrim Entertainment, and it is hilarious. I don't know what it is about the style or method that struck my funny bone, but I actually spent a little time giggling out loud. (A literal laugh out loud is asking a bit much. I prefer to chuckle slightly, under my beard, like the humor-jaded cynic I am. One might say I only laugh with irony.) The general idea is that Wable is Warcraft + Cable. Then you do some channel surfing during the show, see a couple of sarcastic punch lines, and then get something like a pun thrown in. And, hey -- who doesn't love a good Illidan joke here and there? • Wable graphically represents web activity, ain't much of a table

Frankly, we're not totally sure we actually long to "create a physical link between our virtual and real identities" -- you know, we like to keep that stuff pushed far, far away from the forefront of our minds -- but if we ever have a change of heart, it seems the Wable will be right there waiting. This unique "table," as it were, sports four bars that raise and lower automatically based on the activity from web applications such as Plazes, Flickr and Last.fm. Beyond that, it doesn't seem to add too much more value to one's life, but if it's the simple things that keep you smiling, check out a remarkably unremarkable video of it after the jump.[Via Core77]
