Sunday Morning Funnies is your weekly list of WoW-related web comics. This week, in comics: Farmer Ted. An impressive rock. A bad wake up. Umbrella. Plus: Grief and mayhem! In comic news, Trigonometry Comics is out for one week, and Gnomeregan Forever takes a one-week break from its 2014 review to explain why. However, we do have a new Sara & Kleeyo, plus an indication that it will be updating a bit more often in the future. Plus, we have a new extra from Gratz, so be sure to check that out! If you missed us last week, you will have missed some more great tips from Trig and Lackinganame for anyone considering purchasing a tablet for their digital art. I've also been wondering how everyone is faring with Trig's challenge for 2015. We are a month into a new year, and it's been a month since we said goodbye to 2014. How are you carrying that seasonal burst of light and love, intended to help us through the dark days, forward in your life? Me, I'm starting with gratitude. I want to say something to the content creators that probably can never be said enough: Thank you. You bring light and laughter and intrigue to every Sunday morning. You put yourselves out there, you work hard, and you do it for us. And to the readers: Thank you. You rock.

Sunday Morning Funnies is your weekly list of WoW-related web comics. This week, in comics: A flamingo. Droppin' coin. Adorable lowbies. Crafting doohickies (doohickeys?). Plus: Dodging dinos! In comic news this week, From Draenor With Love has posted the cover for Chapter 5! So glad it's back. If you missed earlier news, and are wondering where some of your favorites are, well, Sara & Kleeyo is on a more sporadic posting schedule, and both Contested Territory and Best in Slot are on a hiatus while new content is produced and post-holiday breaks are had. On Gratz Solace, Lackinganame will be posting extra information and discussion points at the bottoms of each post, so keep an eye out! And if you missed last week's discussion section, but have been thinking about getting into digital art via a tablet, you should check out the comments. Finally, you may notice something new on the list this week! If you like it, I encourage you to check out the other artwork posted at Bear Comics and Assorted Art, and I will link to more in future.

  • Warcraft Art, Fan Art, and Community Comic updates

A fresh round of updates have been added to the World of Warcraft Fan Art section of the official site, as well as new pieces for the Warlords of Draenor Art gallery, and a new World of Warcraft comic. The fan art in particular features some really stunning pieces highlighting the various Warlords of Draenor, as well as a creepy and perfectly suited idea for a warlock armor set. The full images are all available for download, and I might just be changing the wallpaper on my computer this time around. The concept art takes a look at what appears to be some concept work of Gorgrond, and two shots of Shattrath City. It's the Shattrath pieces that are really interesting, because you get a view of the city with the dome in place, and removed -- and the removed version is far more similar to what we've got in Outland today. What's interesting though is that the dome in-game cannot be traveled through, which makes me wonder -- is A'dal's future home under there, or did the design elements change at some point? More importantly, are we going to get in there at some point in the future? Head to the official post to check out all of the new goodies. And if you have a Warcraft fan comic or fan art of your own, don't forget that you can always submit them to Blizzard to be considered for future updates!

Sunday Morning Funnies is your weekly list of WoW-related web comics. This week, in comics: Rare wares. A cunning squirrel. Listening to cats and robots. Brothers. Plus: Wise advice! In comic news this week, Best in Slot finished up Chapter 2 last week, and begins a one-month hiatus this week. However, there may be the odd extra or bonus going up in the meantime, so I'll keep an eye out for everyone! Also, Trig resumes his review of 2014 over on Gnomeregan Forever, which I highly recommend reading; whether you're heavily into the lore and storylines in WoW or whether you could use a TL:DR, you'll be hooked. Wondering what else we've got this week? A reflection on New Year's resolutions. A Rug appears! Richard is still baby-wearing. And don't miss Away From Reality (although I feel I can't say why without risking spoiling it for you). Plus, bad poetry and dangerous missions!

Sunday Morning Funnies is your weekly list of WoW-related web comics. This week, in comics: Chuck, the baby. A bit of crankiness. A thought-provoking question. Plus: Northrend is cold! In comic news this week, Guilded Age will be reducing its update schedule to three times a week. If you are used to checking it on weekdays, you should expect to see new content on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The creative team has posted a thorough explanation worth reading, but the gist is that five updates a week left little time for outside projects and sometimes meant that the comics published were not quite what they would have been otherwise. It was sapping a bit of the fun and amping up the stress for the creators. In other news, Gratz posted two extra updates this week, for five total! And Away From Reality managed to update even though Eric's computer is in the shop (under warranty, and backed up). Gnomeregan Forever has posted a comic created (but not published) back in June when Trig was testing new character models. Dark Legacy Comics reviews a decade of changing attitudes towards the game. Finally, Fox Rain is getting a slight change in format, and a bit of a bump in the amount of content we can expect each week. Also, you'll be happy to see that our list is quite long again this week! Many of the comics are resuming their normal posting schedule, and several of the comics that update sporadically have also posted new content. Check it out:

Sunday Morning Funnies is your weekly list of WoW-related web comics. This week, in comics: An innocent soul. Mr. Piggles. A tough choice. Plus: Cliff diving! This week's comic list is a bit different than usual. As we rang in 2015 mid-week, we have everything from a countdown to the new year (at Away From Reality) to the beginning of a mini-series that will review 2014 (at Gnomeregan Forever). You will also find holiday wishes and good tidings scattered throughout, as we look forward to a new year of surprises and laughs and heart. However, several comics are missing from the list because of the holidays. Fortunately, many are only expected to be out for about a week. From Draenor With Love and Experience Boost are both on a very short hiatus due to holiday travel. If you missed the holiday-themed artwork posted at FDWL last week, you should check it out! Plus, NPC will also return next week, at which point, hopefully Chloe is feeling less blue! Finally, I do have one holiday treat to announce: Contested Territory posted the finale to Chapter 6! Of course, this means a planned hiatus while Chapter 7 is being produced (as usual), but this may also mean a slightly more regular updating schedule is in our future.

Sunday Morning Funnies is your weekly list of WoW-related web comics. This week, in comics: A lucrative invention. A doubter's paradise. A vegetarian. Baby wearing. Plus: Holiday wishes and reflections. On the list this week, several comics have posted holiday-themed specials. Gratz has a Christmas special, and Sara & Kleeyo (as partially pictured above) has done a Winter Veil themed comic. Plus, Away From Reality has already posted a New Year's comic! Gnomeregan Forever has a new extra up, and will return to Shattershore in mid January. Last week, if you missed it, Gnomeregan Forever ran a Christmas special, which is definitely a must-read. You should also make sure to check out Kibble & Bit, which features something a little different this week. Finally, Lackinganame posted the answer to last week's trivia question in last week's comments section, so check it out if you were stumped! Happy holidays, all!

Sunday Morning Funnies is your weekly list of WoW-related web comics. This week, in comics: A protest. A technical term. A baby. An extra in an '80s movie. Pants! Plus: Sparcle is rocking new goggles! If you missed us last week, you may notice that we have a new comic on the list! It's called Questing Comics, and is relatively new, with fifteen pages up so far. Check it out! Also on the list this week is an MMO-related comic from Zombie Roomie, submitted by JereHunter, who wasn't sure how I felt about jokes involving long raids and bio breaks (or lack thereof). Bring 'em on. In other news, Contested Territory is running a Christmas special this week, and putting forth a proposal for 2015. Definitely check it out! Aside from the awesome backgrounds, the fashion, and the fun look at some of the gnome poses, I love the idea, and I love how Trig connected it to Christmas instead of New Year's resolutions. Finally, Lackinganame has issued a trivia question. Who can guess the reference on Praise the Sun, the second update of Gratz Solace featured last week?

Sunday Morning Funnies is your weekly list of WoW-related web comics. This week, in comics: Wee snacks. Holiday wishes. A trap. A dark wind. Plus: You might need a new tank. No, your eyes are not deceiving you. Daily Quests is back! And if you somehow missed this gem the last time around, you should check it out from the beginning. There is also a brand new comic to add to the list, thanks to a tip from solidus, called Questing Comics. There are fourteen pages so far, and I have linked to the first page this week. You can also read plenty about the comic and its creator, Emily, on its about page. Questing Comics will update Mondays. In other news, Russell of Experience Boost is... still sick. However, his medicine has allowed him to resume his three-post-a-week schedule, so there are several updates to enjoy this week. In fact, there are four, so we even get a bonus. Plus, apparently, this week marked the end of what Russell "would call the first book ... were there to be books." Congratulations, Russell, and I hope things continue to look up from here for you. Contested Territory also has an update this week, which I know has been eagerly anticipated. Maiu is still pretty busy, but she isn't going anywhere, and we've even been promised a holiday treat for the end of the month! Finally, GU Comics has several WoW-related comics on the list this week, so don't miss them!

Sunday Morning Funnies is your weekly list of WoW-related web comics. This week, in comics: Mike is getting some sleep. Thizzible needs some time for herself. Richard needs to make a change. Lissa finds blueprints. Plus: We're killing baddies! Well, most of us are. Gratz celebrated its second-year anniversary last week! To celebrate, there's a bonus page up, with some interesting data at the bottom, like how Lackinganame estimates that he put in about 954 hours of work into Gratz this past year alone. So congratulations, Lackinganame, and thanks for devoting your free time to enriching ours! I'd also like to emphasize how much Gratz has changed, and how much Lackinganame has grown in his style and skills. Watching artists and their comics develop and change has always been one of my favorite parts of following these comics week after week, year after year. Why not take a look back at Page 1, and then pop to the first digitally created page, and then check out this week's pages? In other news, NPC has one more WoW standalone this week (which had me laughing), plus a new storyline related both to Christmas and to WoW. Fox Rain has posted the cover art for Chapter 5: The Sacrifice, which will start next week. Dark Legacy Comics is about garrison follower missions this week, and definitely shouldn't be missed. Finally, the latest Q&A on Kibble & Bit is a must-read! Finally, for our news regarding absent comics. Best in Slot is not on the list this week, due to it being a busy season and, of course, the expansion. It may also be a bit late through the end of December, however, it will definitely update periodically! Experience Boost is back, but Russell is still sick, which makes it bittersweet. Get well soon, Russell! Unfortunately, I also have to announce that Surviving Azeroth is closing back down. You can read why in Zuulzilla's own words. Good luck Zuulzilla; I will miss SA, but I wish you the best!

Sunday Morning Funnies is your weekly list of WoW-related web comics. This week, in comics: Sleep is for the weak. Putting a dragon in a purse. A curse (maybe). A nightmare. Plus: The tears of a million complaints. We have a few comics missing from our list this week. Hopefully, this is due to creators having some fun with the expansion and enjoying the holidays. The list of the missing includes: Surviving Azeroth, Guardians of the Garrison (which is definitely missing due to John spending time in Draenor!), Contested Territory, Teh Gladiators, The Warcraft Hero and Experience Boost. But there's still plenty to read! Trigonometry Comics recently started a new chapter, and the Shattershore storyline on Gnomeregan Forever is really worth checking out if you haven't yet. Gratz Solace is also progressing, and this week, there is a bit of a style change in the first update that is quite effective, and does a great job at enhancing the next two updates. In addition to most of our regular roster, Kibble & Bit posted a comic that starts a new storyline, plus a Thanksgiving/Pilgrim's Bounty special. Sara & Kleeyo has a new comic available as well, as it typically updates fortnightly. Plus, NPC is still doing WoW standalones, and Guilded Age is back to its regular output of five pages plus Ask an Adventurer.

Sunday Morning Funnies is your weekly list of WoW-related web comics. This week, in comics: Targe bursts into song. A grumpusaurus appears. Linola does a new Q&A. Richard solves a puzzle. Plus: Gogogo! In comic news this week, we have a new addition to the list! The Warcraft Hero, by Mike Minotti, is actually a comic that we featured here for quite awhile, before it ended. If you're interested (and I recommend it!), you can check out the comic from the beginning. Bonus: Although Mike originally revived the comic as a one-time-only special, he has decided to start it up again. It will update Fridays, and be featured here weekly! We also have a few new WoW-related comics from PvP on the list this week. Thanks for the tip, JereHunter! Also on the list this week, Gnomeregan Forever features both a new update on the Shattershore storyline, and some bonus wallpaper, which just so happens to feature Faramir the cat. Plus, Trigonometry Comics has a special character guide up, which doubles as a showcase for the new character models. I love Rug's attitude in her entry! I jokingly predicted, last week, that this week's list would contain gags about wait times and disconnects, and it certainly does. I knew that our resident entertainers and storytellers would meet frustration with humor and creativity. What I didn't anticipate were the more heartfelt responses; check out Surviving Azeroth (the text below the comic) and Kibble & Bit to see what I mean!

Sunday Morning Funnies is your weekly list of WoW-related web comics. This week, in comics: Giant window of death. A farce. A boop. Queues. Plus: Start packing! In comic news, we have a lot of pre-expansion comic content happening this week, as many of the comics were done up before the expansion landed. By next week, some of the comics that tend to stick to current topics will be showing some of the new content. Or, you know, lags, queues, and disconnects-related gags? Guilded Age has some new fan art, but didn't quite manage to feature as many pages as usual, due to technical difficulties that will hopefully be resolved in time for next week's listing. If you haven't yet checked out the returned and altered Surviving Azeroth, you should definitely give it a go this week! It's a great entry point to the new style, and timely too. Last week, I noted that two of our comic creators have been ill. Luckily, Jenn of Best in Slot is feeling much better, and there's a new comic up. Unfortunately, Russell is still not feeling well, although he did manage to post one Experience Boost, because he rocks. Feel better, Russell! However, there is some excellent news: Kibble & Bit has posted seven updates. Seven. Go read them!

    11.09.2014

Sunday Morning Funnies is your weekly list of WoW-related web comics. This week, in comics: Evil Overlord checklist. Being far from innocent. Casual (and cat) friendly. Plus: Asking about rabbits, for a friend. In comic news this week, Guardians of the Garrison, a relatively new comic, will be undergoing some changes. Namely, it will split into series, the first of which, Preparations for War page 1, is up on the list this week. The style will also be changing to shorter strips, however, this may mean that sometimes we get more than one per week. If you missed us last week, you might not have noticed that Surviving Azeroth is back! It's also going to be a little different, with fewer characters and a focus on humor. Check out Where Are They Now? to learn what became of the characters that are being dropped, and head to this week's list for new content. In more depressing news, it is cold and flu season, and a couple of our regular content creators have been hit. Best in Slot did not update this week, because unfortunately, Jenn is sick. However, there is a new Extra available, which I've added to the list. Hopefully you're feeling better soon, Jenn! In addition, Russell of Experience Boost has also been feeling sick, in a lingering, this should be gone by now, I'd better go back to the doctor, sort of way. There is a comic up, which is awesome, but if you're wondering why we have not been seeing our usual three weekly updates, it is because Russell needs to start feeling better already! But there are some great things happening this week, too. Trigonometry Comics kicks off a new chapter, and Contested Territory has updated with a new comic. Plus, NPC wraps up its Spooky D&D storyline and promptly starts up a new WoW-related story arc!

Sunday Morning Funnies is your weekly list of WoW-related web comics. This week, in comics: Chomps. Hamsters and a li'l tickle. Getting into character. Hugs. Plus: What to do when you like a pair of goggles. In comic news this week, Surviving Azeroth is back! Linked on the list this week is a post that wraps up Chapter 1, because there are going to be some changes in Chapter 2, which starts up next week. Namely, the character roster will be reduced to two, Immersa and a new character, Dracyn. The comic will also be more focused on humor, with an aim to be relatable to a wide audience. Welcome back, Surviving Azeroth! Also on the list this week, Trigonometry Comics concludes the chapter Doors, and it's a don't-miss comic! Gratz has updated with three new comics, which go back to the main storyline after last week's Halloween specials. Plus, the NPC storyline, Spooky D&D, is definitely getting spookier, and there's some resolution on Experience Boost (although I don't know that we should count on being Orhan-free). We are missing a few of the comics that update only sporadically, including Kibble & Bit, WoW, eh?, and The Brotherhood of Iron, as well as The Warchief's Command Board. In addition, Contested Territory missed the deadline. However, there's a new Sara & Kleeyo to check out, and Teh Gladiators updated this week.

Sunday Morning Funnies is your weekly list of WoW-related web comics. This week, in comics: Developing a conscience. AddOn Ponytail shaper attempts something forbidden. That one time on Etsy. King Wee Baby. Plus: Whoa, a flying monkey! In comic news this week, Trigonometry Comics celebrated its third anniversary! Congratulations Trig, and thank you for all your hard work and dedication to telling stories and supporting the WoW comic community, including both readers and creators. True to Trig's style, there's a regular update, plus an anniversary special, as well as a Gnomeregan Forever update, so be sure to check them out! Also on the list this week are two Halloween specials from Gratz that include reader ideas for character costumes. And if you missed us last week, you'll want to check out the final installment of Father's Shield (Chapter 8: Demon). Plus, the Spooky D&D storyline on NPC, which is related both to WoW and D&D, continues. Finally, Contested Territory is back and Maiu expects to be able to update once weekly, despite her busy new(ish) work schedule. She is aiming for Tuesdays, so if you tend to check the comics throughout the week, keep that in mind.

Another round of new art and updates has been added to Blizzard's official website. This time around, the costume updates are all featuring cosplay from BlizzCon 2013. Mylune makes another appearance, along with some stunning costumes of various tier sets and familiar characters from the franchise. In addition to the costume updates, a new wallpaper has been added to the fan art section. The piece, by Juyoung Oh, is a warlock flanked by a couple of Nightmare steeds and wings that would make Deathwing jealous. And if you're still anxiously awaiting Warlords of Draenor, the concept art gallery has been updated with some new images. There are a few new concept pieces of draenei temples, as well as a pretty stunning piece of Tanaan Jungle lit at various times of day. Rounding it all off is an update to the comic section, appropriately themed for Hallow's End. Take a look at Blizzard's official post for links to all the new updates.

Sunday Morning Funnies is your weekly list of WoW-related web comics. This week, in comics: Dancing! Punting! And snacks! Plus: We're even trying salad! On the list this week, From Draenor With Love finally unveils the first page of Chapter 4, which absolutely starts to deliver on the anticipation set up in the final page of Chapter 3. Dark Legacy Comics has a speaking-in-rhymes comic up, in which the characters explain how they have been languishing for lack of new content. Plus, NPC is starting up a new storyline, which looks to be both D&D and WoW-related, and maybe Halloween-themed too. Of the comics that have been missing recently or don't update every week, you'll want to note that Sara & Kleeyo and The Warchief's Command Board both posted new content. Unfortunately, we are short a couple of updates from Experience Boost this week because Russell has been laid up with a stomach bug. Hopefully your recovery is already well underway, Russell! We are also still missing Contested Territory, but a recent comment suggests that Maiu is doing well but working long hours at her day job right now. We can expect updates to return, for sure, although on a once-per-week schedule. And if you missed us last week, you'll want to note that we have a new comic on the list. Be sure to check out Guardians of the Garrison, which has posted its 9th comic this week.

Sunday Morning Funnies is your weekly list of WoW-related web comics. This week, in comics: Anthropology. Facing facts. Trickery. New beginnings. Gloomy woods. Plus: Excellent drama (10/10). We have a new addition to announce! Guardians of the Garrison is a new WoW-related web comic that we'll be featuring here. I've linked to the main page this week, as there are eight comics already available. In other news, From Draenor With Love is back from hiatus! You can check out the cover art for Chapter 4 this week, and next week, Chapter 4 will properly begin. Plus, several of the comics missing last week are back this week. Teh Gladiators has three new updates for you to check out. Father's Shield has two new chapters (6 and 7) available, and there's also a new Away From Reality. Oh, and have you been following Experience Boost? Because it's bringing some NSFW-level drama this week, which is not to be missed. Finally, NPC has not been WoW-related lately (although it updates three times weekly regardless). But, it has some Halloween-themed content that any fan of the comic, or of cats, or of Halloween, would enjoy. Start with Favorite Cat and move forward if you're interested!

Sunday Morning Funnies is your weekly list of WoW-related web comics. This week, in comics: The butt of the jokes is not amused. A change of wardrobe. A seed of doubt is planted. Plus: Safety first! In comic news this week, Away From Reality and Father's Shield are no longer on involuntary hiatus, because Erik's computer is fixed-ish! All in all, this was a pretty short hiatus, and didn't technically break Erik's streak of never missing a week, as last week, we had a new AFR and this week, we get Chapter 5 of Father's Shield. Away From Reality will be back on the list next Sunday. In other news, Lackinganame (of Gratz) is asking for reader suggestions for the special Halloween 2014 picture. Head on over and leave a comment with your idea for a costume for one (or more) of the characters. However, we also have several comics missing from this week's list. Several comics do not update every week, and of these, we are missing The Brotherhood of Iron, as well as Kibble & Bit and WoW, eh?, although we do have a new Sara & Kleeyo! Teh Gladiators missed the deadline, but if you missed last week's unveiling of the new Hearthstone-related direction, you should check it out. Also missing is The Warchief's Command Board and Contested Territory, plus From Draenor With Love is still on hiatus, preparing Chapter 4. Finally, NPC was not WoW-related, and so isn't on the list. You should expect a fuller list next week. However, several of the comics present have posted multiple entries, and if you haven't yet taken the time to go through Gnomophobia (a recent addition) from the beginning, today is the perfect time!
