"Nothing like taking a break from your daily round of killing things, picking things, digging through things, stomping things, riding things, and dying from things than lying blissfully in a field of poppies," writes submitter Arugadh of The Brotherhood of Iron on Wyrmrest Accord (US-A). She also wanted me to mention the title is from "Existential Blues" by T-bone Stankus, who those of you who are Social Security-aged may remember from the Dr. Demento Show. Or not remember, considering what drugs Dr. Demento's fans tended to consume. I prefer "(Nothing But) Flowers" by Talking Heads for this picture, but I've referenced that song a little too much in this column. Want to see your own screenshot here? "It would seem with the merging of the Alliance, Horde, and neutral auction houses, coupled with all the new items to be sold with the release of Warlords of Draenor, that Auctioneer Hesse (of Stormwind's Dwarven District auction house) is getting a little tired with his increased workload -- so much so that's he's sitting down," writes submitter Enishi of Darkwind on Wyrmrest Accord (US-A). "This is likely the first time the worgen has taken a seat since starting work here during the Cataclysm. He was still doing his job, but no word if any of his managers have approved the action. Watchful eyes are looking to see if this behavior catches on with the other forever-standing vendors, craftsmen, guards, and others in the city." Want to see your own screenshot here? Submitter Pantheor of Maximum Pwnage on Earthen Ring (US-H) is experiencing some early-onset nostalgia. Upon seeing a takeout container full of his favorite Pandarian noodles in Warspear, he was suddenly struck by a longing to visit the lands of the recent past, if only for dinner. But he couldn't wait for his hearthstone to come of of cooldown. He needed it now. The sight of a haughty blood elf paladin scarfing up someone's discarded takeout like a stray dog significantly raised the morale of everyone else in the area. Want to see your own screenshot here? "Here we see the rare and exotic Red Flying Cloud eating hay in the stables," writes submitter Webskull of Knights of Deaths Solace on Darkspear (US-A). "Very few are seen actually eating at this time of day. We shouldn't try to mount it; it may become provoked." Yeah, you wouldn't want to upset that mount. It might just turn into a liquid or, God forbid, a solid. Just think of how ridiculous you'd look riding around on something that isn't a weightless cloud of vapor! "Fedjeen, worgen-at-large on Wyrmrest Accord (US-A), is pleased to report that the Iron Horde doesn't stand a chance," writes today's submitter. "Fed managed to stealth right up next to their warchief, who never even noticed he was there. And Ner'zhul can't even figure out which end of his staff is which. Nah, we got nothing to worry about." Is Ner'zhul picking his nose with his staff? That looks seriously unpleasant. Want to see your own screenshot here? Send it to aroundazeroth@wowinsider.com. "My hat is gone," Nat Pagle complained. "I want it back." After asking several residents of varying stupidity about the location of his hat, he eventually went up to submitter Gwenevere of Shadow Stalkers on Trollbane (US-A). "What does it look like?" she asked. "It is brown and scaly and ..." he replied, pausing for a moment as realization dawned. "I HAVE SEEN MY HAT. You. You stole my hat." Violence ensued. When Gwenevere finished her corpse run, she found Nat happily wearing her Hightfish Cap and murmuring "I love my hat." Want to see your own screenshot here? Send it to aroundazeroth@wowinsider.com. Or a moon on the man, because it looks like submitter Thundarius of Nagrand (US-A) is about to be crushed by the Pale Lady. "I have seen the moon in Shadowmoon many times (editor's note: thus the name, I assume), but I could not explain what was happening here. I had to sit and think for a while. Is it an eclipse? Is is some sort of lunar event? Will we ever set foot on the moon? What lives on the moon? What sort of loot do they drop?" If the latest Borderlands has taught me anything, the answer is laser weapons! Want to see your own screenshot here? Send it to aroundazeroth@wowinsider.com. "Who's a good kitteh?" asks submitter Riyahnasheed of The Evil League of Evil on Zul'jin (US-A). "You're a good kitteh! While finishing up quest lines in Spires of Arak, I found a quest that proves Blizzard has its share of cat aficionados. The Strange Crystal Shard is one of the most entertaining items I have had dropped in my bags. The only thing missing was a saberon butt-wiggle as she got ready to pounce on my impromptu laser pointer." Want to see your own screenshot here? Send it to aroundazeroth@wowinsider.com. "Keegan Firebeard did not think things through while stabling my mounts in the garrison," writes submitter Amrasillias of BiS on Eonar (EU-A). "Ten out of ten firemen would not recommend putting a Flameward Hippogryph next to a single stack of hay, let alone two stacks of hay. Long story short: I had to rebuild my garrison. Firebeard is fired, of course." (For the 99% of you who don't read the NIOSH fire fatality reports, you're welcome to check them out here.) Want to see your own screenshot here? "I discovered some hidden resources in the lake at my garrison," writes submitter Rann of Earthen Ring (US-A). "As I swam back up, I was struck by how beautiful the night is in Shadowmoon Valley. Enjoy!" I suppose this is the upside to having a garrison that isn't permanently frozen over. Hey, vanilla raiders! Remember when someone would fall off of something in Molten Core and would manage to pull a ton of trash mobs back to the raid group, therefore dooming the other 39 people, most of whom were usually AFK at the time? And then the perpetrator would explain that he was 'just exploring?' Wasn't that just hilarious? Submitter Moonfaxx of Death Jesters on Stormrage (US-A) triggered some nasty flashbacks of those raids with their aggregation of core hounds. Now just don't remind me of the suppression room in BWL. You see, today's screenshots are extra secret. Really juicy. Eyes-only kind of stuff. And by "eyes-only" I guess I mean everyone's eyes, since I'm giving it to you to show everyone. Anyway, on to the pictures. I was messing around in game and found myself seeing the future! Or rather, the past. Er ... the future of the past. Yeah. It's the unfinished Tanaan Jungle as it is in game right now! This is a screenshot of that classic fortress, Hellfire Citadel (Tanaan Citadel?) As you can see, it's partially untextured. There's little else of interest in the zone so far. There's one strange rock formation, but I didn't think it picture-worthy. Anyway, I hope you liked this glimpse of the forbidden, but that's it for to- Oh, my God. They found me. I don't know how, but they found me. Run for it!" Submitter Yseora of Fights Like a Girl on Blackwater Raiders (US-A) writes, "I was running Dragon Soul a few weeks ago and at the end of the raid when Deathwing had been dealt with for the thousandth time, I couldn't help but notice how big and mysterious the whole area was and how little of it you could actually explore. Taking a swig out of my Filled Festive Mug, I ran and jumped off the edge, hoping to get to another rock. Obviously, I wasn't able to make it that far, but I was able to get to the middle of The Maelstrom. Having a rare view of the surrounding area and of Thrall/The Dragon Aspects, it was interesting to see Deathwing's view and how small even the most powerful beings in Azeroth really are." In this picture, taken to send home to her parents in Gnomeregan, she poses with some of her new orc friends. They don't seem particularly happy to be showing their giant strategic map to a member of the Alliance, much less a filthy pink gnomelette, but they'll get over it. At least she's having a good time. "I turned to my adviser Khadgar looking for help. He just shrugged off my worries though, making a joke about keeping my cool. Then he pulled out an iCrystal. 'Vargi? Yeah it's Kargi. Could you pop over to Draenor for a bit? No, my Draenor not yours. 'Kay, thanks, you're the best, buh-bye.'
