Microsoft's Xbox 360 Kinect Holiday Value Bundle is on sale for $239 as part of today's Gold Box discounts on Amazon. Those that act fast will get the redesigned Xbox 360 E console loaded with a 250 GB hard drive, a controller, a Kinect camera and three games: Kinect Adventures, Kinect Sports: Season 2 and a download code for Forza Horizon. The bundle normally costs $399, amounting to enough savings to pick up a few extra games, or better yet, groceries so you don't starve this month. Again, the deal is only on for today as long as supplies last, and is a great deal for people that haven't bought an Xbox 360 in the last few days like your humble Joystiq editor has. It's also a good deal for those that aren't picking up a PS4 or Xbox One this coming month.

With this year's holidays being just around the corner, it's only natural for companies to start tempting potential customers with cash-saving, too-good-to-pass deals. With that in mind, Microsoft, via the informative Major Nelson, announced earlier today its 2012 Xbox 360 holiday bundles in hopes of luring some folks in; among these are a 250GB console with Kinect, Dance Central 2, Kinect Sports, Kinect Adventures and one month of Xbox Live for $400, while there's also a 4GB, $300 option that comes with the same Gold subscription, Redmond's motion-tracking peripheral, Kinect Disneyland Adventures and Kinect Adventures. In addition, the Surface maker said retailers should start offering the console for $50 off MSRP, and that this limited time deal will also apply to the Halo 4 bundle which is due to come out on November 6th. Better yet, these new bundles and promos are available now -- so, for those living in the US, now could be a good time to snag one of Microsoft's renowned consoles.

While our mole may not be as prolific or mysterious as some others' we do have an inside man/woman who sent us these images of the rumored Xbox 360 Elite Holiday 2009 Bundle. With the inclusion of Pure and Lego Batman the bundle certainly looks legit, and we think it's a safe bet this is what you'll be seeing on shelves this holiday season. Also: "It's More Fun Time on Xbox 360" is a very bad slogan. That is all. %Gallery-73796%

  • Canadian console combos continue

FutureShop and Best Buy Canada have been bundling up Xbox 360's with a number of titles for quite some time but this week's promotional bundles might turn some Canadian heads. FutureShop is bundling copies of Halo 3 and Gears of War (both standard editions) with the purchase of the Xbox 360 Premium or Elite bundle while Best Buy is bundling Premium Xbox 360 consoles with the Guitar Hero III Bundle (including game and wireless guitar). Clearly the Best Buy promotion is the better deal of the two netting potential gamers a savings of over $100 while Halo 3 and Gears of War can be found at significantly lower prices. Have a friend on the fence about switching up from that crummy old Amiga to a new Xbox 360? Maybe one of these promos will tickle their fancy.

Zavvi, who are known as one of UK's answers to BestBuy, are offering a special promotion on the Xbox 360 that European gamers won't want to pass-up. Zavvi, formerly known as the Virgin Megastore, has bundled a premium Xbox 360, Ubisoft's best-selling Assassin's Creed, the JRPG Lost Odyssey and the 9000-pound gorilla Halo 3 for the low-low price of £210. The bundle can only be found in select stores at this time, so we urge you to look around. To put the price into perspective, Zavvi sells the premium alone for £200 and the system alone can be snatched up for as a low as £180 on Amazon. For a few extra Pounds anyone interesting in starting their Xbox 360 library off right shouldn't miss this opportunity. Word of advice, stay away from Bomberman: Act Zero ... we made that mistake once.[Thanks, Stu]

The lucky folks in Southeast Asia are being treated to a fantastic Xbox 360 bundle for the Lunar New Year (also known as Chinese New Year). The bundle includes an Xbox 360 Pro console, 20GB hard drive, 2 wireless controllers and a copy of the best selling Xbox 360 exclusive, Halo 3. The $669 SGD ($471 USD) bundle is another push from Microsoft to inject life into its flagging Asian market. Alan Chou, regional marketing manager for Microsoft's Southeast Asia division, called the bundle, "an excellent opportunity for friends and family to connect over the Chinese New Year and to enjoy Halo 3 on the world's most popular next-generation gaming platform." While we agree the bundle is a fantastic offer, it would be nice if a region that actually cared about the Xbox was given the same treatment.

  • Microsoft announces new Xbox 360 bundle for the holidays

Well, it looks like that rumored new Xbox 360 bundle we heard about way back in August was right on the mark, as Microsoft has now officially announced that the console will soon come bundled with both Forza 2 and Marvel Ultimate Alliance at no added cost. Those freebies will find their way into both the $350 Premium console and the $450 Elite console, with each expected to be available by the end of October. That date would certainly coincide nicely with the rumored release of the budget-priced Xbox 360 Arcade console, although Microsoft apparently isn't quite ready to get official with that just yet.

  • New Xbox 360 bundle hits UK tomorrow

Console bundles are often reviled during a system's launch period, as they make it practically impossible to leave the store solely with the item you wanted to purchase in the first place. A less bungled bundle, like the £299.99 Xbox 360 package launching in the UK tomorrow, comes several months after launch and doesn't deluge you with a bunch of games, accessories and HD televisions that you weren't quite ready to spend money on yet. Eurogamer reports that the deal in question includes 2 wireless controllers, a copy of Project Gotham Racing 3 and, quite generously, a Premium Xbox 360 as well. How efficient can a bundle be at swaying your interest? Does the higher price tag or the lack of choice make it less appealing to those in the know?
