360 Fanboy wins two Xbox Community Awards!
The 2006 Xbox Community Awards show is now available for download from Gamertag Radio. We don't want to spoil the surprise, but we have to announce that we have been chosen as the lucky recipients of two Xbox Community Awards: Blog of the Year, and News Site of the Year. We'd like to thank everyone out there that voted for us (that's you guys) and extend our congratulations to all the other nominees and winners. This is a tremendous honor and something we never expected. If you haven't already, go grab the show and give it a listen. There are plenty of special guests -- including Peter Moore -- and some funny skits and great musical acts, too. Thanks again, everyone. Stick around, because we have some big things in store for the new year.
'06 Xbox Community Awards coming Dec. 15th
Earlier this week, we revealed the guest list for the 2006 Xbox Community Awards. Including Xbox personalities like Major Nelson, Trixie, and Peter Moore, it looks to be a good show. Today, we can finally confirm the date the show will actually become available. The show will be available for download on December 15th (next Friday), so get those RSS readers ready. You may recall that we received a couple nods ourselves, and we are positively atwitter with anticipation (atwitter we say!). Be sure to check out the show when it hits next week.
Guest list for '06 XCAs revealed
Just because he's our extra special buddy, Gamertag Radio's Godfree let us in on the top secret guest list for this year's Xbox Community Awards. You all remembered to vote for us, right? This year's award show promises to be a doozy with a guest list including Major Nelson, Trixie, XBL Radio, Bungie's Frank O'Connor (AKA Frankie), Aaron Greenberg, and last but not least, an interview with the man himself, Peter Moore. The award show should be live within two weeks and we are just brimming with red carpet excitement. Granted, there is no red carpet. In fact, there really is no physical space in which the show takes place, but we're still excited, damn it. (Note to self: get red carpet for the lobby of Fanboy Towers.)
360 Fanboy nominated for '06 XCAs!
Oh, how we have waited for this day. Our good friends at Gamertag Radio have nominated little old us, Xbox 360 Fanboy, for the 2006 Xbox Community Awards. What's more, we're nominated in two different categories. So, if you feel that Xbox 360 Fanboy is the best 360 news site or the best 360 blog (or both!), head over to GTR and vote. You'll have to register for their forums to participate, which is a fairly painless process. We'd like to thank GTR for the nod, and we'd also like extend our congratulations to the other nominees -- including some of our favorite contributors like MyGamercard.net, Piñata Island, Gearheads of War, ILoveXBLA.com, XBLArcade.com, and The Xbox Domain.
