Sony’s WH-1000XM3 aren’t just a great pair of noise canceling headphones, they’re quality cans period. While you used to have to choose between great sound quality and decent noise reduction, the 1000XM3 do both while being a blast to listen to.

- 68AVERAGE USER SCORE5 ReviewsDani70October 7, 2019Feedback submitted!Unable to submit feedback!I'm also an owner of PXC 550.The fit of the headphones are great (I wear an ear piercing and the PXC 550 was slightly small).Sound Quality is great, there is also an equalizer.Controls are great.ANC is great (it's also configurable based on what kind of environment you are in, which is an amazing feature).I have a couple of major issues with these headphones though. Issue 1: Cannot Charge and Playback simultaneously. I picked up a USB-C cable to use these headphones at work while plugged into my computer as I was doing with my PXC 550, unfortunately this use case is not compatible.Issue 2: Bluetooth Switching. The headphones will not automatically switch to a different bluetooth source ever. The user needs to initiate the disconnection from the device. The reason I got the cable to plug into the computer was to avoid the issue in Issue #2, and enhance usage of the product. I am a fan of sustainable solutions (and by sustainable, I mean sustainable processes) so I would keep my battery topped up at work while listening to music. However, these headphones requires the headphones to be off in order to be charged, so I need to find a different solution to my charging problem.I may end up getting the PXC550 II, once they are released, but I am currently unsure.Timothy70June 14, 2019Feedback submitted!Unable to submit feedback!I own these headphones and been an audiophile since 16 and sold high-end electronics in college through my doctorate. Wireless sound is shit. There is no high quality sound yet with wireless technology. These headphones are not high-end until you use a high quality cable. These headphones are outstanding using wire and good electronics. I never use their features or power when using. I might use it, if I need to filter noise like a jet engine inside an airplane, but if you are using wireless feature, these headphones suck compared to what they sound like by wire. For years Bose has been the king of over-ear N/C headphones, but Sony has managed to combine amazing sound, beautiful asthetics, a freakishly good noise cancelling processor and enough personalisation options to quell even the most finicky audiophile in one impressive package. As a city dweller I've used these on the subway, in the street and in the office and cannot say enough about these cans.
