Phillipe Starck-designed Microsoft mouse
Seems these are to be officially announced late next week, but an Italian reseller already has them up on its
site: modern design's primo gun-for-hire Phillipe Starck
has worked up a USB optical mouse for Microsoft that cunningly hides a scroll wheel in the coloured line that bisects
it, and supposedly includes the requisite two buttons (looks from the picture like the whole left and right segments
would move when you click). Release date is listed as September 15.

As I write this on a PC, using the standard MS optical wheel mouse, kind of makes me sad to see that the best Microsoft can do to "fight back" against Apple's design onslaught is release mouse after mouse with very little connection between them. A beautiful little gadget next to a hulking bohemouth of black isn't my idea of pretty. Come on Phillipe - solve the big problem; design a whole makeover system so my computer can look as good as the mouse next to it.
looks like a smelly vagina...
I heard rumours about the Stark/MS collaboration, but I was hoping for more than a mouse, something revolutionary.
Too bad.
At last Microsoft have got a good mouse that looks good with my Mac. Works great and look great. Will look even better with my G5 setup.
well it looks good with an alien ware system... i hope they release them with a black strip down the middle so it fits my shiny athelon :P
and ye it looks like a smelly crotch i think if they make a green one the ifrst thought on peoples minds will be "ganggreen?"
looks great wit my asus w1000. perfect combination.
i've heard the collaboration before, and thinking about a 'museum quality' pc or notebook...
Go Phillipe! i am waiting for your next IT-creations
