The Durabrand Venturer PVS1960 double-screen portable DVD player
GadgetMadness spent their own hard earned cash on the Durabrand Venturer PVS1960, a portable DVD player which doubles your pleasure with not one, but two 6.2-inch attachable LCD screens that retails for a grand total of $278. Not the greatest portable DVD player of all time (they don't list the resolution of the screens under product specifications, which is always a bad sign), but for less than $300 you're probably just looking for a cheap and dirty way to add DVD to your car.

I have this player and it is great for the money. I didn't expect to get top of the line, but it works great. There are only two things I'd like better. First, when I kill the power in the car, the dvd player resets and upsets the kiddies, so perhaps they should've left the resettting out. My cd player in the car seems to pick up right where it left off, but not this player. Second, I'd like to see if someone has ever hacked this player somehow to get DiVX/XVid movies to play on it.
Has anyone had any problems with the player not playing a movie? WHat mine has started doing is when it comes on the screen shows that warnings and then after that it goes blank and the disk keeps spinning even if i open the door so it isnt skipping like its supposed to. I dont know how or where or who to ask to fix it. Does anyone have a suggestions for me except warrenty. I tried emailing the company with no response back yet...
Thanks
Denise
I am having the same problem. About 30 minutes into the movie, the dvd player will freeze. this started happining about 6 months after I bought it. I took it out of the vehicle prior to last fall, and when I put it back this spring, it will not work. Anyone have any ideas?
My main base is stop working, I lost all receipt.. Now I want to connect the screens directly to other video source like VCR, DVD player est... It has 9 pin DIN female on the screen unit. I searched around and get no where selling the cable to do that. Do anyone have a diagram for the input for the screen? or know how to make a cable to connect the screen as I mentioned above? Thanks for your time and help.
