Perfect for the 21st century wiretapper, there's a new product called the USBBLAST R-1000 that plugs into your
landline phone (they do still exist) and connects to your PC over USB to automatically record all those important
conversations direct to your hard drive.

What I'm wondering is whether it notifies the person on the other end of the line that you're recording the conversation. I know that in the US, you are either required to notify the person or the recording device must beep every so often. Which method does this device employ?
Yes, one dose need to notify the "other" end that the call is recorded, every state has its laws you can visit www.usbblast.com for more info regarding this topic. There are no "beeps" with this devise. Most customers have a promote voice saying "this call may be monitored for quality and training purposes" which basically covers you:)
