Samsung's SPH-i550 Palmphone lives

We'd almost given up all hope of this phone ever seeing the light of day, but apparently Samsung is confirming that the SPH-i550, their new Palm-powered flip phone, will indeed come out someday, they just won't say when or how much it might cost. We do know that it'll run on Palm OS 5.2, and have 32MB of RAM, an SDIO expansion card slot, and a built-in one megapixel digital camera.
As a verizon customer, I've been waiting for this phone to come out to switch. I would have bought an i500, but since my old phone has the time on the caller id panel on the outside, i stopped wearing a watch, and prefer not to have to go back. So i'm waiting for the i550 with the external screen. Personally, all the extras (mp3, camera, etc) might be nice, but i care most that it will have all my contacts and be a good phone.
Man, I just can't wait for this phone. I was also looking into buying a I500 until I saw this was comming out. I'm happy waiting for a phone that's so well integrated and versitile. My poor phone's battery isn't holding much of a charge anymore and it's time for a new phone, but if holding out for a few more months means I get a phone like this then it's worth the wait.
I have had an i500 for a little over a year, and it is the GREATEST! Functionality of this little phone is amazing. I really think it is the first Palm device to be a really good "phone".
I can't wait for the i550. It has all the little things that are missing in the i500. (such as expansion slot, external callerID, etc) The only thing I am worried about is the discussion about the size difference between the i500 and the i550. Does anyone know the approximate size diff? I have heard people comparing the size of the i550 with the Kyocera 7135, which is WAY too big IMHO. Either way, I am SO EXCITED! C'mon Sprint and Samsung! Let's GOOOO!!!!

You cannot have any more of my money until this phone comes out. I was ready to buy a Samsung DVD player and TV, but I am not buying any Samsung products until you start shipping the I550. So there!

I have the Samsung i600 with 1GB storage card. I have loaded it with software and extras. I love the phone and will by 2 of the i550 if it is ever released. One for me and 1 for my wife.
There is a high demand for this phone in the marketplace. Samsung would be stupid to discontinue this phone.
