Ok, we'll be the first to admit that it seems a little bit unlikely that Apple would just leave a box with a new
iMac in it just lying around piled underneath a bunch of other junk, but could this blurry shot contain a glimpse of
the G5 iMac? Could also be a regular LCD monitor…
it is not the new imac. we took the picture at http://www.ipodfrance.com and it is a screen
But come tomorrow on the site, we might have somet ing more interesting ...;-)
Geez. Apple isn't that stupid or sloppy. It's not a new iMac. Even the big banner cover up in black was put up only after all the local electricians and carpenters were asked to leave. Apple personnel hoisted it. Wait a few more days and the new imac - nothing like any of the images posted so far, will be revealed. Anyway, all those supposed elevator shots - blurry and poorly positioned, would have been removed if they were real by order of Apple as in previous years. They have not, they are not real and Apple execs. must be laughing hysterically at all this foolishness. PT Barnum was right,
"There's a sucker born every day!"
Wow, I have never seen one of these, probably because they were only available for less than 9 months:

This begs the question, though--what in the world is this "ancient" monitor doing at the trade show?
The newimac.com pictures look like "design studies" pre-product
rather than actual product. I have spent the last 20 years in this
business, and I don't believe Apple could come out with anything
as ugly as that pictured on newimac.com.
Now that we've thrown 'em off the trail, use the form below to get in touch with the people at Engadget. Please fill in all of the required fields because they're required.
