The saga continues: Those pics of the new G5 iMac that were supposedly snapped in an elevator at Charles de Gaulle
airport outside of Paris? That was a hoax. The guy behind the pics has admitted that it was just a 20-inch LaCie LCD
stuffed into a PowerBook box. Nice try, though.
Good thing it was a hoax as it was simply awful. Jonathan Ive hasn't won design awards for putting out generic design like that! Now we can all sit back, relax for a couple of days and wait for the real thing. Hopefully, we'll all be pleasantly surprised.
That philbot guy must've inflated his own ego hundred-fold after everyone fell for his original G5 iMac hoax, and thought he could do it again. (http://www.engadget.com/entry/3611729073994828/)
Too bad this time around, it took less than 4 posts to debunk the hack job that he created with cardboard boxes and printed paper. And he even had the nerve to think someone would pay at least a pound for the shoddy fake? Zero bids sounds about right...
If he didn't fail miserably this time around, nobody would've known that he just a one hit wonder. Hahaha, how embarassing...
Now that we've thrown 'em off the trail, use the form below to get in touch with the people at Engadget. Please fill in all of the required fields because they're required.
Personally, I am glad this isn't the new iMac. I am probably the only one who doesn't want an all in one system. Cube please.

I bet the new iMac will come in white or a colour different from the Pro-products (PowerMac/Book, Cinema Displays).
I hope for revival of the cube. Now affordable and aimed to the consumer level plus two new StudioDisplays that fit the iMac in design at 15" and 17".

Apart from being white, it's very similar.
