NEC's 3D imaging cellphone display
Just when you were getting over that raging case of astigmatism, NEC drops an outrageously dense 235ppi (pixels per
inch) cellphone display that uses a type of lens separation to create 3D images without the special glasses. Right, so
that means you won't have to stare at anaglyphs in
order to read your SMS messages in heart-pounding 3D! Of course, we're taking it all with a grain of salt, but even if
it does work as advertised aren't exactly a whole host of applications that a 3D cellphone display would be all that
useful for.

Porn. Porn. Porn. Porn. It's the only way those dumb euro 3G companies will anything near their money back in from the licensing debacle. And now it can be 3D 3G!
Part of the display may be switched to 3D mode while the rest is 2D.
This could be very helpful in visualization of data while still having easy to read text and useable interfaces.

Mobile 3d porn...Is it just me or is humanity rapidly commiting racial suicide? With that said, I'd buy one.
Combine this display with a stereo camera pair on the other end, and what have you got? A 3-D image of the party you're talking to...pretty high bandwidth maybe, but it would be a damn cool videophone.
Its going to get bombarded with 3d adverts - we already make them for the web, phones are next, using java, youll be able to play 3d games, sell products, even keep a 3d tamagotchi made of light.
heres a plug, have a look at http://www.aarkid.com for a glimpse of what the 3d technology will do, I reckon its going to be the next big thing, instruction manuals, sales pitches, special effects: 2d is just going to start looking old fashioned. Once the real stereoscopic 3d takes off , its going to be everywhere, you just wait!
