The Treo 650 to come out November 1st?
We're not even going to front that there has been any official confirmation of this—especially since palmOne won't even officially admit that this thing even exists—but we're hearing that the Treo 650 is supposed to come out on November 1st. Not sure which carriers will have it initially, but last year Sprint got a several week headstart with the Treo 600 and we would't be at all shocked if they got the Treo 650 a little bit earlier than everyone else this time around, too.

Wouldn't that make this the first Sprint phone to have Bluetooth available?
The T608 is currently their first and only. Too bad it sucks and is essentially unavailable.
There was a short, 10,000 unit run of a T608 Sony-Ericson Phone that was made available exclusively by calling the Sprint PCS 800 number. The phone is still available on eBay for more than the intial asking price.
"...last year Sprint got a several week headstart with the Treo 600. .."
Uhh, I don't think so. As someone who watched and waited and watched and waited some more, I can tell you that Sprint did what Sprint usually does - dragged their feet, never committed to a deadline, and had short supplies for months after announcing availability.
Unfortunately, I don't expect any differrent with this phone.

A Telstra Shop salesperson told me that the 650 is under test by Telstra and would be released "in a couple of weeks". She may have been blowing smoke, by why would she? I was just about to plonk down for a 600, and she lost a sale. (Telstra is the government owned (well 51%) phone company in Australia).
