I'm starting to see more and more of those stupid looking European tiny thin cars and vans on the road here in AZ though. I think small, ugly Euro cars with 2 and 3 cylinder engines are going to be in soon. Anyway, that's kind of what this concept reminds me of.
I'm sure this was in one of those campy Arnold movies about some post industrial corporate future... But I wonder if it runs on Palm OS 4, 5, or some hi-breed.
I'm a owner of the old CJ series and Military vehicles that defined the Universal 4x4 Jeep. I even can deal with the Cheerokies. I'm also tempted by the Jeepster that's supposed to come out. But with the Liberty (I do approve of thier choice for the V-6 in that) and now this? What is Chrysler trying to do to the Jeep's name by turning them into foreign looking designs?
I'm quite intriqued by the Jeep Treo for two reasons, either of which might encourage Daimler Chrysler to go into production with this concept car or one very much like it.
I am an older person living of a rural area of at a wintry latitude of the U.S. For local travel, minor shopping mainly, a Treo as presented in 2003 would be superb for my use.
Too, much of this area is served by rural mail carriers - often awkwardly dispersing mail from the right side of their lefthand-steering private cars. The Treo, or something slightly larger for increased cargo and perhaps higher to defeat our snowy weather, would clearly serve their needs both on and off the job.
The thought here is that Jeep might first engage the USPS in this country to enable fleet sales and then to attract all consumers.
A problem remains with providing hydrogen fuel cells economically and establishing a distribution system broad enough to support the wide use of this kind of car.
I hope the responsible people at Jeep read this and would, or anyone else for that matter, comment back regarding these suggestions.
My best to all.

Well, at least they kept the distinctive grill. I wouldn't buy one, but I'd gladly drive one.

It looks like a frickin' monster-truck version of the Smart. They can't be serious.

Granted, I'm no car designer, but that should be called the Jeep Fugly.

I really like the design. But then I suppose I could say that about most concept cars.
