Sprint to be first with the Treo 650
Not exactly shocking since they were the first ones to get the Treo 600, but Sprint says they're planning on being
the first US wireless carrier to offer the brand new Treo
650. They say it'll be in stores sometime next month with a retail price of $599.99 and that a cameraless version
should follow sometime later this year.

So I'm most certainly excited for the new treo, but being a broke college student and a tech-a-holic (two things which really don't go well together) I don't exactly have the 600 bones to lay done. So whats going on with the 600 is going to be cheaper? are they going to discontinue that and replace it with the cameraless treo?

At the Kansas City Airport this morning a Sprint Rep was showing off a couple of these to fellow travelers. He had three in his carry-on bag enroute to SF! Very nice colored body with Sprint logo screened on, looked like production models to me.

Does this mean we should resurrect the Treo 600 Wifi/Bluetooth bounty? Or did it ever go away?

With so many pocketpc phones that include wifi, this is another disappointing product from PalmOne.

Who cares if sprint is first. Their service sucks in way to many places!

You folks posted earlier that you'd heard Verizon would have the phone in the not too distant future. I'm hearing otherwise now from a slew of relatively uninformed sources. What do you hear now?

I have a rant on my Blog about this trend....

First of all I would like to remind our friend in earlier comment who says this is another disappointing product from palm!! Plam OS is something else and much more easy to use and user friendly. Did you ever tried actually use one of the pocket-pc things?? like worse electronic device ever to me! they are also very slow when your phone records are more than 500 or something.
And about the new treo, I am having an old treo 270 and I love my mobile to have a door like this one! I just don't get it why all of the manufacturers (Including Motorola) do not use mobile doors like this ones anymore. :-(
