Delphi's new SkyFi 2 adds pause & rewind
We knew
Delphi was planning something, but they
surprised us all with the release of SkyFi 2, a new Satellite Radio receiver. While it features a new scroll
wheel and better display, the most interesting new feature is the addition of a 30-minute buffer that allows pausing
and rewind. While 30 minutes isn't a huge buffer time, it does allow some basic rewind and pause functions for
when you get that annoying phone call and simply must hear the rest of that Simple Minds track. It will retail
for $129.99, and install kits for home and vehicle are $69.99.
[Thanks, Michael]

We'll just sit here and patiently wait for you fellas find a way to hack that 30-second memory into a 10-minute memory!
Thanks Engadget! :)
Re-read the article man - it has a 30 minute buffer, not 30 second.
The thing isn't even out yet and they increased the capacity from 30-seconds to 30-minutes!
You guys are my heroes. Incredible.
:)
This was in the Crutchfield Catalog that I got last week. Not exactly a big news break Phil. In any case...good job. Now i'm not sure if i should get this or the walkman.
That's not new news. I heard already.
30 minute buffer is all you get with a Tivo. It's just fine.
Not trying to be a nattering nabob of negativity, but xmfan.com and xm411.com announced this back in late August.
The SkiFi2 has even arrived in some stores on the East Coast as of this week.
This is not in any stores yet. If you can prove me wrong then go ahead. I ordered it in Crutchfield and they keep changing the date it is supposed to arrive. Delphi is the one changing the release date so if they have not released it to Crutchfield then no one has it.
Sure is in stores: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=369755
Yes, it is available, at least in my area (Panhandle of Florida). I bought it Saturday from Circuit City in Panama City, FL for my husband for Christmas.
